Pretty in Frilly Pink! The beautiful soft pink line was definitely the eye catcher of the day in Paris . Valentinos Valiant Last Show in Paris, ended with fond farewells and tearful goodbyes. His final designs, brought us back to the Jackie Kennedy styles, and were as lovely as the days she wore them. Bravo!

If you're not familiar with Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, known as Valentino, perhaps you could recognize him by some of the designs you've seen over the past 45 years.

Ever hear of the polka-dot print?

If you still aren't sure who Valentino is?

Ok, think Jackie Kennedy.

Jackie Kennedy's style is an icon. Her suit style in particular. Yes, Valentino is the man who made Jackie Kennedy into the best dressed Presidents wife ever known. Her style and grace is unsurpassed, and the elegant beauty of Jackie is one that will always inspire the occasions were women want to be well dressed, and stylish. Valentino, and Jackie Kennedy were friends, and he even designed the dress for her second marriage to Greek tycoon Aristotle Onassis.

Anyone familiar with the exquisite clothes worn by Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo, Gloria Swanson, or Merle Oberon, Princess Margaret and Marella Agnelli?

Elizabeth Taylor, in animal prints, and white pleats?

How about smart, easy to wear, very sharp, perfectly tailed, sleek clothes for wealthy, and high powered executive business clothes. For Women, and Men?

Frills, bows, ruffles, and flawlessly tailored cuts, crepe sheaths? (Without over accessorizing.)

Getting warmer?

Ok, now its coming back to you! The one thing about the fashion designers that no one really considers, is that the clothes you buy, even from a department store originally came from the initial design of a fashion designer. The clothes are created for lines, organized by the seasons, and featured on the runways in the major cities where the fashion houses live. Then the conceptual designs are passed down, as the trends have been set, and by the time you go buy a nice red cardigan at JC Penny, it is actually a part of the entire bubble of Fashion for example, the Fall/Winter line. The buyers also take a huge part in what lines the stores carry, and a whole host of other goings on occurs, but in a nutshell, thats how it works.

Valentinos lines in itself, was always focused on women, and making them look elegant and beautiful. Valentino prided his work, with grand efforts to celebrate women, and see women in a light that was sophisticated, and made women feel like a queen when she stepped out of the house wearing his designs.

If you've seen a smart business suit, or an elegant laced, v-neck blazer, with a simple three quarter length skirt, that made you smile with awe. Then theres a good chance, you were looking a Valentino, or influenced by Valentino design.

All women around the globe are buzzing about Valentinos retirement, in one way or another we all have been affected by his influence, and have adored those who loved him.

There are still some wonderful designers flowing through the runways, such as Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent known as Yves Saint-Laurent, Gucci, who will still be there, with their traditional and classic styles. All of the brethren of Fashion design inspire and support one another.

Valentino, mind you, isnt going very far. He will be working on setting up his museum in San Teodoro in Rome , and he aspires to create Operatic Clothing lines.

Some interesting facts about Valentino.

Elizabeth Taylor had a great influence on Valentino, and had inspired him and his partner, Giancarlo Giammetti, to support AIDS victims, where they had created a charity organization known as L.I.F.E., which is sponsored by Accademia Valentino.

The Devil Wears Prada, with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, Valentino made an appearance in the Movie, as himself.

Valentinos announcement back in July of this year was an elite event in Rome the post-show gala dinner and ball took place in the Parco dei Daini at the Villa Borghese.

Stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman, and Anne Hathaway, attended. Sarah Jessica Parker looked lovely in black draperies, and Eva Mendes was in a delightful ebony crepe sheath (as designed in 1965), in respect to Rosso Valentino, his trademark for his love of red. Jennifer Hudson wore an elegant flowing gown.

Ohh ladies if you missed out on his last Spring/Summer showing for Valentino, you should tune into FTV, and check.. it.. out! At the end of this article there are two links, one from FTV, and one from Vogue featuring the Valentino fashion line.

Valentinos show in Paris, had a variety of easy to wear womens clothes, staying true to his usual style, to make women look fabulous in clothes that are comfortable to wear.

The pink dresses were so gorges! With ruffles of lace, boa trims, and exquisite pink shoes to match. The toned down versions, of creams, gray and white suits, remind me of the Jackie Kennedy style. Very chic, with the knee length hemline tapered skirt, to Jackie Kennedy collar, elegant lace accents. Valentino out did himself, leaving women with elegance and luxury for his final fashion look. The gals on the runway were dressed in a dazzling, and sophisticated Valentino style, as always.

Sarah Jessica Parker, and Anne Hathaway stopped by to say hello to FTV, while at the Valentino Show! If you want to hear their thoughts about Valentino, click on the link below. But for Valentino, he will be sadly missed, and the influence he has made on us all will live forever in our hearts forever, as he in himself is an icon of the Fashion Industry who stood for the grace and love of women.

Peace and Love Darlens

Mwah to Valentino.
