You should know by now what drives you. Of course you do. It is a little bit more than knowing what makes you tick. It is the one thing, feeling, person, interest or passion that motivates you.
Yes, motivation. It means the same as drive. Well, kind of. It gets you out of bed, keeps your heart pumping, gives you goose bumps when you think about it, builds a fire in your gut, always on your mind and you gotta have it.
So, you are a Blue Collar Worker. Nothing wrong with that. Unless you think there is. And I suppose your job is motivational enough to get you out of bed because you have to support yourself and provide for your family. Not exactly the point I am making though.
I sincerely hope you enjoy what you do for a living. It is very honorable work. The Blue Collar jobs keep the American economy rolling. And it keeps your paychecks rolling too.
Anyway, if you are happy with your employment as a manual laborer and would rather not do anything else, then you can stop reading this article. No need to go any further if you are already satisfied.
You, and only you, know exactly what you want out of life. You probably have already come to the conclusion it is not your current job. You already know that working for somebody else is not your forte, or your passion. Certainly not a goal or a dream.
Goals. I will bet if you had a goal or two, it would fuel some motivation within you. As I said earlier, you probably already know what you want. So set some goals to achieve what you want. Setting goals will lead you to your dreams.
Do not expect what you want out of life to be dropped in your lap, your mailbox or delivered by a fairy under your pillow while you sleep. Do not expect that just by dreaming about your ambition that it will happen. The goals and dreams in your life will not appear magically in front of your eyes. You must take action.
Get motivated, get moving and start driving towards your dreams. Nobody knows better than you about what you want out of life. Nobody will do it for you. You alone have to make it happen.
I know how tired you are after a hard day at work. I know about how much time it takes to raise a family and meet your obligations. But I did not say that driving towards your goals and dreams would be easy. Nobody can honestly say that.
Get motivated, make some plans and take some time out of each day to work on your goals. You can make plans, set goals and still keep your day job. Dedicate some time for yourself, even for only an hour a day. You already know what you want, so get started. Get behind the wheel of your passion and drive.
