Do you want totally Ripped Abs, or do you just want abs that are firm and flat so that you can get into those pants of yesterdays?  It doesn’t really matter what your goal is because getting there requires the same work.  When you reach the point of having firm flat abs then you can decide if you want the totally ripped abs or just maintain your newly toned, tight hard figure.

Naturally not everyone wants well defined abs; fact is most people would be happy just getting rid of the extra flab that’s somehow surrounded their midsection, look good in tight pants and not have to pick clothes that hide the jelly roll.  But if you really want to go further and get that hard defined six pack abs, be the envy of your friends, enter competitions, or hang out at the gym, then you will want to go all the way.  When it comes to firming up you need to be honest with yourself.  People seem to fall into three categories and you need to find out which one you are in.

Many people I see are in the something for nothing category.  These people always want to get more out than they are willing to put in.  They want all the rewards but do not want to pay the price of getting there.  These are the people who will go on an exercise binge for a few days or weeks, look in the mirror and say they just can’t get results.  They give up to quickly and I’ve seen that same behavior in other things they try; and sadly find little success in their personal goals.

The second group is the quick fix crowd.  These are people who run out and buy every miraculous abs solution that is on the market.  They actually believe that they can short cut the entire routine, and wake up in a no time at all with the body they want.  They often will buy into pills that promise a tight waistline, all in the dream of an instant cure to their problems.

You will also find a large group who suffer from both dysfunctional problems who search for ways to get double results in half the time.  They want fitness without exercising, weight loss without dieting and good health while eating, drinking and smoking whatever they want.  Sadly they are the fuel for the multi billion dollar Health Industry; buying the latest exercise in a bottle or miracle fat burning creams, quick abs machines, steroids, etc., doing little or no real research on any of the holly grail products that promise weight loss or muscle growth.

The third group is the goal setters, who actually set goals and quite often reach them.  Not having goals gives you no where to run, like trying to find an unfamiliar street without a map.  Many people are afraid of setting goals fearing that they might not reach them.  Reaching a goal is not the only purpose of setting goals. I know that sounds funny but when you set the bar high and get half way there you have still achieved a great thing, and is often quite farther than you would have went without a goal.

So the first thing that you need to do is be honest with yourself, realize which group you’re in, and then make the necessary changes to get into the goal setting group.

You may want to set your main goal on getting ripped abs; and set smaller goals like cutting the jelly out of your gut, trimming down to flat firm abs, and celebrating in all your achievements along the way.  Do a little research, read a book and find out what it really takes to get there.  It’s not hard, and is much better than throwing fifty dollars out the window every time a new abs miracle machine comes along, or worse, damaging your health with diet pills.

If you would like to find a source that offers the whole picture, finally giving you the real information that you need to be successful, then visit my friend’s web site.  She has found her way through this health industry maze and lets you know what you need to get from flabby abs to hard flat abs, then to ripped abs!  Visit www.YouWantSixPackAbs.com  right now.
