The current situation in our so-called society is beyond belief and many could care less. In my simple opinion many are sitting around like the Romans did eating their grapes, drinking their wine and worrying about how they look and looking for leisure entertainment and pleasure. Yes, they had plenty of slaves, the poor, and the indentured to do their bidding and even in the army. That is until they revolted. I think the same happened in France and one another country that skips my mind.
Yes, this may be a little long winded but it needs to be said.
Now lets get down to the facts as to what I am talking to. We all know we have an illegal worker problem. These are the poor, exploited and broken people of Mexico and other lands who were and are the very bottom of that society in that land. The lost and unwanted they literally had and have nothing but the clothes on their back. But not only do they have no material wealth they were and are the ones who have no net individual worth as a human being left. They were and are individually broken, no skills, education and their self esteem totally non-existent. Do you mean to say with all the Ivy League grads and wealthy they can't educate their nation or citizens or put them to work? They sure do good with illegal activities don't they? Talk about them what about us. Do you really think we are educating people?
Yes these persons could die in the streets and people would walk right by. Just like the homeless of America. Yes, they were and are completely broken in spirit and being. And yes, even though some came here by breaking the law they came for a better life. As you know while I don't accept the method they chose to come but I do understand why.
So what happens when they get here? They predominantly work in Agriculture or other low paying jobs. They make on average $6,000 to $9,000 thousand dollars a year. Of that money is taken out for taxes and social security that they do not see. The big agricultural farming enterprises and big business want more and more cheap labor to feed their bottom line profits and complain they can't afford to pay them more to be competitive. So in my opinion they have displaced the poor of America to hire these people who they can exploit even more. Facts as presented by well-known economic schools and as Mr. Lou Dobbs stated the price to pay these people a living wage would add about ten cents to a head of lettuce. Also, have you ever seen the conditions these people live in? Yet, I must admit it is better then what they had in Mexico or other countries and most Americans would not venture inside that domicile much less the area they live in.
Now we also have the gangs and young all over this country, white, blacks and Hispanics who have no hope. They are the uneducated and unskilled of America that can't get a job at even a retail outlet or anywhere else for that matter. Credit a joke and we all know credit plays into everything you do, even to get a job. So, they make their money on the street corners of America, dope, sex, and violence. Many have never had a home much less their real parent. The gang is a home and their family. They trust their gang members because they never experienced love or a real family or for that matter integrity in our adult population.
These gang members will beat you, harm you and kill you without even a hesitation. The most notorious gang has over 100,000 members and growing and is nation wide. No fear of the law or anyone. Many of these came from those same countries mentioned and many are here illegally as well. They have no respect for a system that demonstrates to them hypocrisy, no respect for individual human rights, or for that matter the law. They see and experience the corruption and hypocrisy each and every day in those in power and leadership and in all domains from church to society.
Now don't get me wrong not even what once was the American Middle class is immune. The gangs run throughout our middle-income neighborhoods as well as the hoods of America. They ply their activity under a different guise. "No not my kid is the reply". It is just swept under the rugs neatly. No jobs or low wage jobs and jobs with no future and no opportunity. Good jobs exported over seas or Green carded out. Yes, I think I now know somewhat what the blacks have gone through first hand even though I can really never know the full weight of it. I know what the destruction of a persons individual worth does to them and their families and loved ones. I know where it leads them and what it causes. Yes, all those social problems, broken homes, child abuse, financial problems and debt, exploitation and abuse, etc, etc, etc. Yes, its good for business, more cheap labor and more legal systems. It keeps many working and it creates a ready cheap labor force.
Yet, the fat cats, those who have, many intellectual types who have their degree but in my opinion really only know bookwork and have little to no common sense feed the system with problem after problem. After all they get all the ledership jobs regardless if they can lead or not, they have a piece of paper on the wall that says they must be smart. Yes, exactly, smart as hell and a or can get the job done on time and within budget and really in my opinion like their counter parts throughout history, they just do not care.
So, ok, here we go, well what can we do? These people, ok Ive heard that so many times and they don't ok, enough. The fact is this entire situation is missing everything as a nation that we profess we are as a religious and predominantly Christian nation which is love, compassion, mercy and the requirement that each person be held accountable and be given equal and fair opportunity. No favorites, yea, right!
If we can spend billions to kill and defend we surely must have some money to educate, train and make our citizens productive? Now that brings up your next question of what would you do? Well don't you think the cat is out of the bag somewhat? The train has left the station? Well the answers are not easy because we have sold America away, but I would start with these concepts.
Number one we need money to do something. So first priority is to bring our troops home from wherever we are. That means getting out everywhere ASAP and since they have stated they don't need us or like us let the chips fall where they may and let them pick up the expense for their defense. Our interests aare here at home and let those corporate giants worry about their interests in other countries. I would immediately cut the foreign aide completely except to those nations who demonstrate true friendship and be selective and oversee what we do and whom we give to and make sure it is applied for what purpose we gave, period!
I would limit severely immigration for the time being until every citizen can find gainful employment. I would reduce or eliminate Green Cards for education handouts or jobs over time. Thus cutting a free handout to foreigners and give it to our nations young for training and retooling of our older workers.
I would make sure that those who want to come and live here observe our cultural rights and not try to impose their own religious or otherwise.
Another thing I would do immediately is press Congress to really end the gravy train for all these fat cats and their hidden programs slipped into every bill by calling them out one by one and by name in public. I would end once and for all lobby activity, period, and end of story immediately! I would end all those back door gratuities we all know are there hidden in the fancy verbiage. Election would be of a limited duration, equal time and maintain expenses evenly for all paid for by the candidate and the tax payers to a limited amount. No longer will one be able to buy an election. All will receive equal media time and money.
I would mandate that all politicians and public servants live off their government salary for a fixed period and not have access to any other funding or finances. I would reduce the salaries and the benefits of them all to be fair but not excessive and in line with the recognized upper middle-income family level as reported by the government. I would mandate they establish a living minimum wage for all jobs. Rhetorically, I am sure they might welcome this?
I would create a mandatory service system for all young adults no longer in High School, dropped out or out of work. Drop out of school and go to school or work. If you get a certificate of attendance but do not pass you go into one of the programs until you do pass and earn you diploma. They would go into a training and schooling that will enhance their skills and they will get hands on learning in construction and other trades to rebuild our infrastructure. Much like the CCC of old. I would foster technical schools and real learning. We will also find real placement in living wage jobs as a joint venture between business and our government.
I would also require every young adults 18- 22 to spend two years of active service to their country in capacities of their choice- military, police, social service and any agency that support the people of this nation and to be offer that service freely for schooling, training, etc except for military or police service. Much like the peace core it can be done after hours or school or work. They can do it all within their individual domiciles and home cities and towns. Anyone participating in these activities could earn citizenship with no penalties for them and their families and except for major crime would receive a pardon and their slate wiped clean for any minor crimes. They may even receive reduced sentences if their record remains good and they demonstrate a change.
I would review and eliminate any and all taxes, which encourage foreign investment over American investment, and I would penalize those corporations that place foreign interests over American. I would reward those who initiate manufacturing and business here in our nation and employ Americans first.
I would set up a workers program for any alien wishing to work legitimately in this country and I would require that their nation of origin provide the support for their social, medical and insurance and schooling that they undertake or use while here.
I would reward those nations who we trade with fairly with aide and other support and assist their societies to become self sufficient and independent. We would continue to extend the helping hand to those who request our help and want us to help! I would reduce our investment in the UN to an equal portion as shared by all members or we would leave. No more handouts only disaster. survival relief help.
I would maximize investment in our military capability to defend this nation by extending our defense and strike capabilities, the National Guard and reserves and main forces. If we were a super power now I would encourage us to become even more powerful so no one would ever think of attacking us. That would include boots on the ground capability and missle shield capability.
Our foreign policy would be to open a dialogue with all nations who wish to enter into peaceful discussion of mutual benefit for our societies. I would walk carefully but carry a big stick! No nation truly seeking peace would be rejected but it would not be a hand out but a mutual sharing relationship where both give and get in the spirit of true friendship.
Finally I would take an active role in eliminating waste in government, bureaucratic messes and persons who have been so embedded they have become non productive and actually harmful. Redundant and overlapping responsibilities would be streamlined into limited agencies. Example if it is business related it would go under that aspect of government. No more call this one or that one or we dont handle that they do type mess.
Of course there is much more but these are the first steps. However, along with this for anyone who does not wish to participate I would enforce laws to the max and hold those businesses, religions, politicians and citizens who break their oath or the law or assist in the breaking of law accountable under existing law and panalty.
Now that is what I would do which is not easy because you need decent, good and God fearing professing people who live by their word and what they profess to be. We would need to throw out the whole bunch and start fresh because in my opinion they do not know how to operate in this mode. We do not need the masses of the individual, self-serving, it works for me types but we can put them to work along with the rest of us.
As for me you can tell by my last few articles that I am perplexed as to why this is not more of an issue and perhaps it is? Why it isnt on page one of this site and why we seem to allow it in saying we are voting for these same types, going nowhere but where we are and have been is a total mystery.
We need to find people who want to do right in America and as our forefathers did in the revolution it is time for the second but peaceful one by booting out the kings of money and greed and restore our democracy!
Yet we are what we are and we reap what we sow.
