Makeup Tips How to apply eye makeup "How do I make the ultimate super-hot smoldering smoky eye?" So, you've mastered the simple smoky eye. Your hand is steady, your blending is top-notch and you're ready to get even more glamorous.

Here's how to do dramatic, ultra-glam smoky eye.

You'll need three shades of eyeshadow dark, medium and light. Don't shy away from using shadows that shimmer! The more you play with this technique, and the more colors and finishes you test, the more you'll find both your makeup options and skills exploding.

  1. First, apply your favorite well-sharpened eye pencil around your entire eye, staying close to your lash beds.
  1. Second, cover your lower lid with the darkest eye shadow up to your crease.
  1. Next, highlight just under your eyebrow with the lightest eyeshadow.
  1. Now you'll bring the two shadows together with the medium shade: "smoke" outward from the inner corner of your eye in a diagonal direction to meld and blend all three shades.
  1. Finally, smoke your bottom eyeliner under your lashes with a smudge brush (the brush with the half-moon bristles) and the same middle shade of shadow.
  1. Don't lose your lashes finish off your sultry look with tons of mascara.
