Watchman, Watchman what of the night,
where is the enemy do you have him in sight.

Set the Trump to thy mouth* and sound the alarm.
The enemy is coming the enemy’s swarm.

The hordes of the devil have taken their flight,
to challenge the righteous, the good and the right.

The princes and powers in high wicked places,
are bent on destroying all human races.

However, their plans will soon come to an end,
to the fires of Hell all their hordes He will send.

When the Father shall utter to all it is done,
the righteous shall follow being led by His Son.

In splendor and glory there will be no rival,
the Son shall descend and His word will be final.

The time for the Righteous will shine with great glory,
blessed are all those who believed that great  story.

An eternal inheritance will the Righteous possess,
Peace beyond measure from the East to the West.

Forever and ever will the righteous shine,
no more sin, no more death, nor the hint of a crime.

That time is at hand, yes, that time of the end,
Where things will be new and lives born again.

The time of great blessing it’s coming soon,
The day of the good has started to bloom.

hi rodney,
i am so glad you keep writing.
one line is out of place, i think, anyway:how blessed are all those who believed that great gospel story. i don't have any suggestions but it might be shorter to match the line above-i hope you don't mind, some of the best suggestions i got were from someone who read one of my stories, and i use them everytime they are needed.
this poem was beautiful and heartfelt. how you put words together is graceful and intelligent. i can't wait for the next one.
best regards,
sue thom
