There have been many friendships started on SearchWarp.com. Some of these friendships have grown into full-fledged, real-world relationships. Sometimes regulars on SearchWarp drop out of contact for no apparent reason.
We've seen some circumstances where members had issues arise where they could use some encouragement and prayer, and because of the format of SearchWarp, there were no options for letting the community know except for writing an article, which is completely awkward at best.
I am starting this thread for SearchWarp members and visitors to leave prayer requests in the comment section. Please, do not divulge names other than your own, or you may leave the comments anonymously if you'd like.
If you do believe in prayer, please don't forget to check back here regularly. This may not work as intended, but we won't know until we try!
Bruce Horst is not much of a writer, but he does work with some of the most incredibly talented writers around, working to get them the promotion they deserve.
He considers himself a geeks geek, and with his new iPhone has been quoted as saying that he may never be bored again, though he still doesn't really enjoy talking on the phone very much.

I think it's a great idea, Bruce, and I do hope those who believe in prayer will take it seriously. I'm requesting prayer for an anonymous friend on Search Warp who is having serious financial difficulty. Every one would know the name, but more importantly, Jesus knows the name. We (Christians) know God can and will provide for this person if we "ask in faith, believing", so I, April, ask in faith that God will provide for this person, and I believe He will. I have a prayer request Bruce, my husbands first cousin who is 42 years old has been diagnosed with cancer. He is full of it. He has 2 sons ages 8 and 11. He has a wife as well. This man is a very nice person I also knew him most of my life as I went to school with him. He just lives about a 5 minute walk away from my home here and I just pray that the treatments that he will be receiving will extend his life so he can be with his family, especially his 2 sons. He is very well liked and were holding benefits and money raising activites for his family as well...Please someone say a prayer for this young man.....I believe in prayer as well Bruce, big time.

can I put 2 prayer requests in?
Another young man I knew since he was 9 years old, is now grown to be 35 years old approx. He has 2 small children and a wife. His both children have autism. This man is also the son of a pastor. Anyway approx 2 months ago he was in a swimming pool accident. He dove into the pool, he never hit his head on the bottom of the pool, rather he hit his head on the other side of the pool and broke his neck. He is still in the hospital fighting for his life. His heart has stopped a couple of times already. You know that actor that played Superman....Christopher Reeves I believe his name was. Well this person that I know is hooked up to a wheelchair and that thing in his neck as well. This man was very active in hockey, gym, teaching kids sports etc. Very liked as well. We are also having benefits and money raising events for his family. I know that he has a long road ahead of him and his wife is going to have more than a full time job now with their 2 children and him. I just pray that God will help them find a positive in this somewhere. Please pray for him as well, he comes from my area as well. Thanks again. This site is wonderful Respond to this comment

Ok here goes one. My adult children need hope, a good job not, one of these low paying dead end types, with benefits and a future and they need it now, you can throw in the schooling as a side benefit. They need a healing becuase they are low, beaten down inself esteem and disapointment. They need any help they can get. Hi Family, please be in prayer for the ladies bible study that is starting on Jan 15th. I will be teaching Religion VS Relationship, while going through the 5 essential doctrines of Christianity. Lord willing, there will be many new believers. Pray that my heart and mind will be prepared and pray that these women will grow in their faith and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Also, please pray for the Lord's provision as I would like to be able to provide the teaching materials at no cost. Especially for those who are still searching out the things of God and for the new believers. well guys, Feb. 7th may see me losing my home and alimony in divorce court.
i pray constantly, but have finally come to the point that i need help in this department. i have lived here and raised my kids for 20 years, and have no finances of my own, since i was a stay at home mom.

Hi, My Uncle who is a very healthy man, hard worker the whole bit, he won the fight agains bowel cancer and now a couple of years later he has be diagnosed with ALS....please pray for him and his family, I know there is no cure for ALS, but pray that he will not suffer and he will get thru this an easy way...He is a born again christian also, so that helps to know that he is going to be with God, but I just don't want this illness to be hard on him and his family Respond to this comment

May they trust in you and feel your loving arms wrapped around them even now. Father, I also pray for Kathy's uncle - bring peace to his body and his heart. A dear friend's 63 year old mom has been diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. As if that isn't bad enough, it has attacked her kidneys so she is not in good enough health to withstand chemo. Without chemo, she won't last 6 months - but if she does not get stronger, the chemo would kill her. Please pray for my friend's stamina as she spends every day at the hospital with her mom. Also pray for healing for her mom - especially her kidneys along with wisdom for the Drs. Respond to this comment

I would like to put a prayer request in for my son's friend. She is 16 and was recently paralyzed during a ski accident over Christmas vacation with her family and boyfriend. She is able to move her hands slightly but still is not able to move her legs. There has been some recent hope because she has some feeling in a few of her toes. She has a long hard road ahead of her and needs as many prayers as possible. Please pray for financial help, strength, hope, faith, encouragement and healing. Thank you all for your prayers!! This is to let all know that God answers prayer in His time and in His season and according to His will and plan, glory be to God. For we who believe know the battle cry of St. Michael sends demons into flight - "Who is Like unto God". So I wish to thank God, His mother Mary, St. Ann and all the saints, especially St. Jude and St. Theresa little flower for their intersessions and St. Faustina and all those who prayed for my intentions, those who lift me and my loved ones up each day in prayer, those who have helped in so many ways that "as we walk through the valley"' He and you are with us and what we endure we do for his glory and honor and for his purpose not ours. Pray for TJ as he needs strength/guidance increasing baseball running speed/skills as increased bat speed to make JV team. His instructors of 9 years says he would probably get baseball scholarship which would help with his college expenses which is desperately needed-so hard to get past all the politics. Please pray for his organizing & studying schoolwork, beginning spiritual journey to serve God, as he works toward becoming an Christian athlete/academic student/role model. I just received a terrible phone call. A friend called, barely able to talk, telling us that her 15 yr old granddaughter was raped by an older step-brother last weekend. The girl just revealed today what happened to her. Let's agree in prayer for this girl to receive godly help to heal her violated heart, and that the parents and grandparents will have wisdom to handle the situation.

Dane, I am praying!!! I received a phone call this morning that a very dear friend was found dead in her home yesterday. It's assumed by a blood-clot. Please pray for Tim, Connie's sister. Their mother is 99 and has dementia and does not know she has children. Their father past away last year, so Tim is in this by himself (with his wife, of course). Please pray for comfort for all of us who love her. Thankfully, she was a Christian, so she is with the Lord. and if I know Connie like I think I know Connie, she is up there saying, "too bad, so sad for you guys!" This brings me comfort-but I am heartbroken. Thanks for the prayers!!

My child came home today and told me a very frightening story about how he has noticed someone following him around for the past several months. He had been telling me of these incidents for quite some time. At first I thought that he must have just been kidding, but then his friends told me that it was true. His cousin also verified the truth of the matter when he called the house to warn us someone was there looking for my son. Then my son's dad informed me that these individuals were watching his house a week prior to the cousin's phone calls. These individuals have popped up at the strangest places. Apparently they are obsessed with my child. I have been informed to contact the police department for the safety of my child. That although the individuals deny all of the above, I don't know what these individuals could resort to and do. Unfortunately, these individuals happen to be my son's ex-girlfriend and her mother. After the whole mistake and nightmare of allowing these children to date, my hindsight is probably very close to 20/20. Although the individuals claim to be Christian, I have to wonder with the kind of activity that was allowed by the girlfriend's mother. It definitely opened my eyes for future dating. A few of the things that raised my eyebrows were: 1) I should not have allowed the time spent together with too much freedom. Especially since my son was supposed to spend the night with the brother of the girl. The Mom specifically asked if my son could come spend the night with her son, not to engage with the daughter. 2) I should have noticed the red flags when every time I said it was not a good idea for the two to spend the night under the same roof, I would get an email of every excuse and reason under the sun of why they should. For goodness sakes, the children at this time were 14 and 16. Talk about looking for trouble. 3) When I was blamed for everything that went wrong in the relationship and my husband (Pastor) was emailed about all of the choice things I wasI should have realized that the problem wouldn't go away immediately upon a breakup. The list could go on and on, but I believe my point has been made. My son wishes to contact the police and follow through as he is frightened and aggravated. He has already asked these individuals to stop following him but they have not. They broke up four months ago and the request was made by him personally over one month ago. I have tried to ask this mother to stop and back off. Her only response is to misplace her own feelings about herself and turn them upon me while denying any part of any of this situation. I shall continue to pray for these individuals. The question I pose is this. As a Christian, do I contact the police? I have attempted to talk to her one on one, to no avail. I have also spoke to other Christians who have prayed and say that it is time to contact authorities. There have been other Christians who have tried to counsel with her and she refuses the suggestions. For the parents who read this and have some suggestions for me, they would be prayed about and graciously accepted. May the Lord bless! Thank you Bruce for this site and letting the Lord use you.

She cannot be on the computer for more than 5 min at a time, with long periods of time in between. All writing has stopped for now and she is not taking any calls. So those of you who have her number, hold off. She just wants our prayers for now. Pass it on to all your prayer circles. Lord we are asking for a miracle! Bring healing and wisdom to the doctors. because in Ephesians 6:16-19 use the shield of faith with which you can stop all the burning arrows of the evil one. Accept God's salvation as your helmet,and take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers, asking for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready and never give up. Always pray for all God's people. Also pray for me that when I speak, God will give me words so that I can tell the secret of the Good News without fear.

Bruce, I just now decided to inquire about this link from the home page. God answers every prayer according to what is best in the long view. That is my belief. I have been prayed for by my parents and parents-in-law in years past, and I have seen God answer in amazing ways prayers I prayed after I realized that Jesus is the Son of God and is alive. To be part of this prayer ministry is wonderful and I don't know of one like it anywhere online for writers.
I'd like to start by saying to this prayer community that recently someone in my family by marriage called me with good news. That good news showed that God is showing her now that He is hearing our prayers for her, a single mom, and that she is not alone. It would be impossible to tell her story quickly, for she has gone through so much for a lot of years. It moves me so much when I see answered prayer. I had a friend who did not get well, years ago, and answers like that are puzzling. Yet God has said He is faithful, and I believe He is. The friend told me, before he had a stroke at a young age, that he had prayed a prayer putting himself entirely in God's hands. His parents told me that many had decided to turn back to God because of what their son went through. One day, in our final Home in complete joy with Christ, all of this will be over. There will be an inexpressibly wonderful reunion and celebration. Meanwhile, there is heartache and heartbreak to deal with on this earth and sometimes all we can do is by "being there" and also praying for others in the name of Christ, whose love for us is boundless. Thank you for starting this, and I will check in to read new requests. I could not get by without seeking God's ear every day, and I think there are multitudes who call upon Him for others needs as well as for their own, by faith in Christ. May He be glorified in all these things.
Bruce! This is a great idea. Thanks for giving people such opportunity. I think searchwarp should have a different system where everybody can add there prayer requests. Now its a must to visit your area for the prayer requests.

Hi SW Family, please pray for my son, Justin. He has a serious case of mono and he is having a difficult time breathing. I have learned a few things that I hope will help others so I am going to write about it. But I wanted to get this prayer request going asap!!! Thanks and God bless!
I think it's wonderful to have such a powerful nucleus as prayer over shadowing us. I'm sure just by the announcement of it, situations and circumstances are already changing.

Hello friends,
Please pray for my mom. She has been diagnosed with Parkinsons. The main concern is that if she contracts pnuemonia she won't make it and the Parkinson's will take her. She has little lung capacity. Thank you. God bless all and you are also in my prayers.
Am praying for the people of this part of India, for their safety and encouragement. May God help them to hold on to Him for life and the shining of the light of their witness of Jesus Christ. May many not knowing Him now come to know Him through their consciences being struck with the wrong being done. May all know the peace of Christ in their hearts and in a change in this situation.
Am praying for Michelle's mom, who has Parkinson's, and for all the family.

I also would like to request prayers that my wife health will improve. She's going though Oxygen therapy (HBOT) right now and hope it's the miracle we've been waiting for.
Hey friends, I need immediate prayer--I have a health issue that has flared up out of nowhere, Severe acid reflux. Sometimes it sends me to the hospital. I am at work right now in severe pain and not sure what is going to happen. Please pray for me, it is very difficult to set up straight. Thanks!! Teresa Ortiz
Hey guys, It's me, Teresa. I am doing much better. Thank God, no trip to the hiopsital. I left work as soon as the pain subsided and I took an hour and 1/2 nap. I wanted to say thanks for praying. Very, very, wire--I'm glad its over. Thanks again. Its great to be able to count on prayer :-)
Please join in agrement with me that my little girl will come to her senses and come home in peace and move on with her life and she be granted peace and prospertity, health, happiness, long life safety, security and eternal salavation and meets a real true partner for life.
