Yes, that's right, many of us are getting ready to feast this Thanksgiving day and give thanks to God for our blessings while those 35 million will be lucky if they can eat a meal in a soup kitchen or have one provided by a charity. Yes, and many will eat zero, nada, nothing. There are shut ins and the elderly that no one knows even exists. Add the 41 million who are poor or fast approaching that in this country and may not have a roof over their heads in a few short months, or even for Christmas, or the New Year and you start to sense the magnitude of the problems facing this nation.

Throw in all those who never show up in government statistics, the homeless, unemployed, those working low wage go nowhere jobs, who can't afford to pay the light bill or water bill, while the bill collectors hound them day and night, arrogant and threatening and all with the blessings and I'll say that again for who in my opinion are the phony politicians, yes with your blessings and by the laws you drafted that allow and condone this type of abuse. Yes, it will even happen on Thanksgiving Day when they hope people will be sitting at thier table so they can ask you for their money. You see there is no respite for the low lifes you are branded as by those who in my opinion have no values. morals or character. Yes, then again those homeless, who someone a few weeks ago described as drug addicts, alcohol abusers, or who have escaped from some asylum, yea, right and you have a picture of America today. No wonder some have dropped out of society, what society?

Yes as you watch those commercials showing abundance and family and the food channel and how to make your bird, remember many only see that bird from a garbage pail. Oh, their choice you say. How sad I feel for you who think that. We must remember to pray for you and forgive you for "father they truly do not know what they do." Judgment, no, just the truth. Don't we give at church and to charity? Well golly gee as Gomer Pile said, I'll send a medal along and an autographed picture of your favorite politician.

I write because my very being and soul cries out for the injustice, for the facades, for the hypocrisy of this nation and in my opinion its leadership or lack thereof. Some will say a big part is the illegal workers who are in this country. But does that mean they should not eat? Even our dogs eat well and many are overweight. No they flee their own nation who treats them even worse then we. No wonder what little they have here is way more then they ever had there and they don't want to return even while being exploited.

Yes, as we read all the wonderful articles on giving thanks we should not forget just how thankful we should really be. For there but by the grace of God goes I. Now I don't want to burst anyones bubble because I know many would rather cross over to the other side then have to face reality, but if you can turn a blinds eye it speaks to you, your character and your beliefs. Like walking past those on the street as if they don't exist.

The economic woe that is descending upon us has been coming for years. It didn't just pop up out of nowhere. Like the Hurricane plotted in the distance with everyone watching those in Congress are just now talking about The Coming Storm. Yes, these same fabricators of all this have the nerve to talk about it as it is all new to them. Yes, they pump our millions into the market and big business to shore up their investments while they write off billions with tax breaks while those who they have straddled with the bad loans, credit card abuse, home owners insurance and taxes, etc get to pay and get their credit ruined and maybe the street to boot. They give away our assets, our jobs, our ability to employ our people and feed and provide for our families and they smile and say vote for me. How shameful or arrogant can a person be?

Well in reality we must be fair, it just may be all new to them? It is called foresight, understanding, and discernment, something in my opinion they know nothing about. Yes, this is a Thanksgiving many will long remember. Like the thirties and the great depression many people had crumbs to give thanks with and the same will hold true in this day and age. But you know something these types of people did and do. They are the real people of this nation. The ones who really give, not just for their own charity, or art museum, or to get their name on an edifice, but to truly help others less fortunate then they. They are the ones who take in strangers, feed and clothe them with what little they have. Like that show on Sunday Extreme Makeover they are true people, true family, true believers. You need no doctor to give you values all you need is love.

Yes, the darkness and sin that has swept over this nation is in every aspect of our society. Not just ours but this entire world. But when the most powerful and supposedly and I do mean supposedly richest nation on the face of this earth has 35 million who starve each day, 41 million near or fast approaching poverty and untold other problems tell me there is not darkness. Tell me you can accept it? Tell me you can vote for the same people who propagate it with their ideology, laws, deeds, and actions? Yes tell me you can and you tell the world who you really are as a person an individual. No I don't have to judge or come to a conclusion or an opinion, you and they have done it for me and all.

It is not to late. It is called love thy neighbor. It is not to late to change the course for America but it takes action by every single one of us collectively. We will not in the short time alloted be able to feed them all, but we can make a paradigm shift in the way this country sees and looks at its people. We can bring home good jobs and those things these so called "All American Businesses" have sold or given away. Find them, look for them and put them out of business, period! They are not All American, it is in name only. Tire makers, toy makers, and every sort of industry that has sold out this nation make yourself aware of and do not buy from them unless it it absolutely necessary and even then only if you must! Let them know we are not against free trade but we want fair and equitable free trade. It is also imperative we vote every single incumbent out of office, period, without exception. Lets start fresh and send a message they understand!

Perhaps in a few years that number of starving will no longer be 35 million? It all starts with you! Look to no one else! Remember that when you reach the gates and are asked what you have done for your fellow man and it just isn't about throwing something into the poor box every now and then. It is about justice, fairness, mercy, compassion and allowing people to have a job and earn a fair wage and to provide for their families.

Best wishes, luck, peace and security and above all may the peace of God be with you all this Thanksgiving Day.
