Makeup tips

Today's questions is: "How do I keep lipstick off my teeth?"

This is really important to keep in mind for big events and classy functions, because nothing says “class" like errant smudges on your not-so-pearly whites. Think your friends will tell you? Do you really want to find out the hard way?? This is also a good trick to make your teeth appear whiter in photographs, if you can remember to subtly tilt your smile toward the light during picture-time.

It sounds weird, but it really works:

  1. If you have a tendency to get lipstick on your front teeth, just slide a tiny bit of Vaseline over them.
  2. Apply lip color as usual.
  3. For extra assurance, stick your index finger about halfway in your mouth, pucker up your lips in an exaggerated kissy-face and withdraw your finger. Any lip color that was applied too far inward will come off on your finger.

So before you go to that dressy reception, do like Miss America and remember that dab of Vaseline!
