Are you wanting to lose weight and slim down, but don't know where to get started? Well, here are 5 easy weight loss tips that most people know about, but not many people put to use on a regular basis.

1. Stop Drinking Soda

This quick tip is often the most difficult for so many people wanting to lose weight, but it sure is effective. Sodas, tea and coffee may taste good, but they pack a lot of calories and carbs which increase fat gain.

If you are addicted to soda every day, try going slow to start. Cut your intake in half for a couple of days. Then, cut it in half again until you can quit completely. Drink water and fruit juice instead. You will be amazed at the results this will have on your waistline.

2. Eat 4 Small Meals a Day

Eating 2-3 big meals each day is not helping with weight loss. How many times do you do this and then find yourself snacking later on? Or worse yet, going to a local drive-thru fast food joint to fill a craving?

Try eating 4-5 smaller meals throughout the day instead. You could simply break down a normal meal into two smaller ones if you wish. The results of eating smaller meals each day is the fact you won't feel hungry during the day and evening and you won't feel like eating junk food as well.

3. Slow Down Your Eating

Did you know that on average, it takes your brain 20 minutes to know that your stomach is full? In so many cases, people will eat so fast that they have overeaten before their brain tells them they are already full. The extra food that unnecessarily eaten is only extra calories and fat that is adding up on your body.

4. Stay Active

Many people are overweight or obese because they lead a sedentary lifestyle. Become more active by doing some simple activities like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or walking short distances instead of driving.

5. Exercise

Finally, to lose weight fast you will have to exercise regularly. It can be a simple walking routine, or it can be an aerobics workout, weightlifting, fitness machines or some of the many other activities that are available.

These are only 5 easy ways of losing weight that are simple to put into action. Combine these tips with a great diet plan and you will be on your way to dropping weight and looking great!
