When you receive the Seal you become like an artifact. God prints you with a mark of ancient history from long before anything people have recorded. A more recent mark from history has been found from the period of Bible writer Nehemiah.

An archaeological dig has been underway in the old part of Jerusalem which is known as the City of David. Artifacts found there date to the days when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, and scientists may have found part of the wall itself.

A few years ago on this same dig what is believed to be part of the palace of King David, built by Hiram of Tyre, was uncovered nearby at this site. That confirms what the Bible says about the palace of King David, if that is what the remains are.

This new structure just found may be part of the wall around Jerusalem Nehemiah rebuilt when the Babylonian captivity was over and he was sent back to repair Jerusalem so the Jewish people could come back and live there.

This new find is amazing, because many scholars have been saying that the wall does not, or did not, exist. If this really is the wall built by Nehemiah, it will prove yet another little section of the Bible to be a true record of history.

And it was surprising to the scientists. They had not expected to find anything like this. They had not hoped for such a "miracle" of evidence of the ancient days of Biblical lore.

The shards of pottery and arrowheads found at the site are the most conclusive evidence. Nobody is in disagreement they date to the Persian period when Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem.

But not all scholars agree that the part of the wall found is from that very period. Perhaps the wall could have been built much later, even after the life and death of Jesus Christ.

If the wall is from the same period as the pottery shards and arrowheads then it is the wall of Jerusalem Nehemiah rebuilt so the city could become inhabited again, secure from further attacks from enemies.

The Babylonians had destroyed part of the wall when they besieged Jerusalem. And the Babylonians won the battle--they carried off most of the people of Jerusalem and surrounding cities to Babylon to serve as slaves.

If this find can be confirmed it will prove the truth of the historical account of the Bible, which some scholars doubt. This will be a valuable proof of the truth of another part of the Bible, which is much attacked by doubtful "experts."

But when you become sealed you do not doubt what Nehemiah said, or anyone else in the Bible. It may not have happened the way you understand it. But that does not matter. Because God gave you the Bible to build your faith, not to build your doubt.

And when you become sealed you are like that pottery found at the site. You are like a jar of clay sealed by the signet of the King of Kings. You are a precious vessel of His holding many valuable things.

Yet because of the glory of the teachings of Jesus you are no more just a walled city. You may have walls to protect yourself from evil. But you have gates that let much traffic pass through.

The peace Jesus brought made the need for walls around your city obsolete. You may not have peace with everyone in the world, and you do not need to have it. But you have the kind of peace that makes you live without always fearing.

You are like a jar of clay. And you can be impressed with the most ancient mark of all--the mark of primacy from before the creation of the earth, when you receive the Seal.
