  The true meaning of Christmas

we have truly forgot,

that a son was born, the One and Only begot.

He was born in a manger in the feeding trough,

wrapped in clothing warm and soft.

Magi from the East brought gifts to Him,

to the Lamb of God that takes away sin.

Angels rejoiced announcing His birth,

guiding the shepherds to the King on the earth.

The Star was born, the Son was given,

peace on Earth and also in Heaven.

The Star grew brighter then the morning sun,

with kindness and love brought by the Son.

Going about and doing good,

raising the dead with His power He would.

With Signs and wonders in His hand,

His time on Earth; to fulfill God's Plan.

Each time as He walked, He thought that day,

for the sins of mankind, one day He would pay.

The time had come for that holy price,

when the Son of man would give his life.

With thousands upon thousands on that holy road,

the crowds would beat Him and in his face they'll scold.

The adulterers were there and beat him too,

bruising His face some parts black, some parts blue.

The racist stood up and spit in His face,

kicking the Son full of truth, full of grace.

The immoral and liars hit Him that day,

refusing to change and turn from their way.

The Child molesters pressed through the crowd,

striking the son and cursing out loud.

One by one  mankind came,

afflicting the Son and causing Him pain.

Finally, mounted for all men to see,

that innocent babe hung on a tree.

Hung between thieves for nothing He'd done,

His only claim- to be  King and God's only Son.

For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
