One of the big ticket items this year in decorating is the Giant Snow Globes. (sometimes referred to as the Snow Dome.) Here's a review on some of the different types of Snow Globes, and what to watch for.
Firstly
The one I bought on e-bay, that looked so cute in the picture, turned out to be a dudd. One of the pitfalls to buying on e-bay is that the products don't always work, and there really isn't much you can do about it. SO first off, I am going to suggest that you go directly to the proper company, or store online to purchase your snow globe, or buy it from an actual store on ebay, not from a user who claims the product was never used. My poor little Santa keeps deflating and no matter what you do, you can't patch the inside of a plastic globe.
The good news is, you can learn from my mistake, and get an idea of the types of snow globes being sold on the Market.
The first one we are going to look at, is the Gemmy Snow Globes. Now according to my research, Gemmy is the most trusted brand. They are the bomb when it comes to making Giant Snow Globes, and as far as I've seen they make globes for the big wigs like Macy's, and pirades, and their stuff is displayed in some pretty high profiled malls.
The unique thing about the Gemmy' globes is that they aren't inflatable. Not like a child's toy is inflatable, you don't blow up a Gemmy with a compressor and leave it up. Nope. Much to your surprise they are very professional when it comes to their Snow Globes, which have a built in motor that runs, and compresses the air into the globe while it's plugged in. You turn it off, your Globe falls flat.
Yes, that is a good thing. They are more durable, apt to last longer, and are easier to care for. They also will give you every bang for your buck.
The other type of Snow Globe, which is an inflatable, which is one I bought, (I also have a Gemmy which I swear by) are a cheaper product than the Gemmy brand. This one in the picture, is easy to blow up, are standard sizes, are supposed to stay blown until you let the air out, much like a child's toy, and they have all the whistles and bells like the Gemmy's. They have rotating parts, they snow inside, some are lit up inside. They are really cute designs. And at the end of the day it's up to the consumer what they want, and now you know that you can ask, is this an inflatable blow up globe? Or. Is this a Gemmy product that inflates only when it's plugged in?
Review on Prices.
Giant Snow Globe. According to my research, when looking for a giant snowglobe, Gemmy is the brand name to trust. This link has some excellent prices, the shipping is the right price, and their snow globes are made by Gemmy.
Snow Globes Featuring Dora the Explorer, the average price is around $40.00, with free shipping in the US.

Also, here is the Frosty the Snowman I bought on eBay. If you are looking for special edition snowglobes, like the Original Frosty The Snowman, from the first Frosty Cartoon, then this is the store for you. Or a light up Pooh Bear Snow Globe, how about the Grinch? He's gorges! This place in
Michigan is great to deal with, I even bought one for myself, and one for my dad. The name of the store in
Michigan is Airblown Inflatable Blowups, and their eBay store is called, fbinflatables. This one is only airborne when it's plugged in, and is made of really good quality.
