Another year is coming to an end.
Most of us, with good intentions, will start off the New Year with a list of New Year's resolutions. Some of those resolutions will be realistic while some will be almost impossible to keep.
I have learned over the years that in order to be successful in our goals, we first must ask ourselves, am I being realistic in my expectations, or am I jeopardizing my goals by making resolutions that will be almost impossible to achieve.
I guess you can say, with age hopefully comes wisdom.
What will my resolutions be for 2008? I will make them simple and easy to achieve.
1: Never take my loved ones for granted since life has a way of changing with a blink of an eye.
2: Been there, done that! If I can avoid stress, I will!
3: Finally take the time to literally smell the roses and all the wonders that nature has to offer.
4: Stop wondering about the what if's and take the what is and make it count!
5: Pamper myself without feeling guilty about it!
6: Count all my blessings on a regular basis!
7: Turn a negative into a positive!
8: Enjoy and spend as much time as I can with my husband, children, grandchildren and dear friends.
9: Make it a point to take care of myself, physically, emotionally and spiritually
10: And most importantly, be tolerant of others and try my best to respect and understand their way of thinking.
May you all have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
