In my latest article on New years 2008 I resurrected my 2007 article to try to emphasize that nothing has really changed. No, nothing has, nor will it because the very same people are in office. To elaborate further the very same types with the very same ideology and the very same goals and agenda run the show. Why would any reasonable person ever think these politicians will do what they say they will do?

Now here they are once again politicians are running all around talking about all the things Americans want to "HEAR". I have to say that again talking, words, rhetoric, about what they are going to do for We the People and for this Republic. Yet, if we look at what they have done, are doing, what they vote for and stand for one has to really ask once again, Why would any reasonable person ever think these politician will do what they say they will do?

Now as for me I have written to who elects these same types over and over again and frankly I see no hope. I really don't even know what motivates me to continue writing. Some misguided belief people want change. Sadly, that is by the signs and symbols I receive each day. It is evidently a misguided opinion based on what is all over the news, regardless of what people profess. It seems professing these days can be anything that at any given moment "works for me".  Why, well lets address just who turns out to vote? I seem to think I addressed this a few times but then again here it is once more.

Well, let's use Iowa as an example. A well known and respected TV commentator's guest stated recently that of all the "registered" voters in Iowa they estimate 6% will turn out to caucus. Ok, where are the other 94% and just what does that say? If we look at this nations registered voters all across this land less then 40% vote. Once again where are the other 60% who can vote and why don't they? The sad fact is the ones who do vote are the over 55 crowd, retired and really only know in most cases what they hear and see. Sorry it is a fact. Then we always have the special interest types who only vote to get something and of course the die hard from each party who really don't care what these people are, what they do or did and what they stand for. If they are of the party they support they must be good.

So, even though they vote in my opinion it has nothing to do with the person other then their smile, how they look, what is perceived and not real. In other words the Easter Bunny syndrome or buy the book by its cover.

Yes and sadly when it gets down to really actual fact it is scary. These are the same people who have been either in office, held posts in government, or have been directly involved with our government in some capacity for years in one way or another. They belong to the same social and economic class. They have the same ideology, beliefs, goals and agenda and they put that into their deeds, called law.

We are not saying anything about decent, law abiding, good, for many of them are, while certainly a lot, like all humans, leave a lot at the front door. No we are talking here about who they really are, what they believe and what they do verses what they say.

Think of the salesmen that promises you whatever you want to hear to close the deal and then doesn't recall after the sale is complete what they said. Have you ever heard that 'I don't recall". Here is a reminder our most recent "I don't recall" and from an ex Attorney General. Need i say more?

So ponder this once again before you vote. Why would any reasonable person ever think these politician will do what they say they will do?
