My path each day is but a series of forks in the road...

episodes

to help decode my load...

to know where to go at the cross in the road...

left or right or straight ahead

or back to the past to the dread I fled...

for each direction is up to me

where conscious thought

is but a cue

to view

the clue

I knew

to pursue

as true

with the focus and patience

to follow through.

Study your path

and it’s aftermath

of sub-conscious wrath.

Study each stride

to help your guides

reside wide-eyed and satisfied

alongside the pride

of knowing that thoughts applied

sometimes collide with the suicide

of cut and dried

thoughts DENIED.

It’s a qualified ride to the self inside...

to decide to listen to your guides

who coincide

side by side

your spiritual pride.

Trust yourself and the path you take...

to see each step to help foresake

the ache

of a make

or break

opaque

mistake.

The choice is yours...

decide asleep...

decide awake...

for the fork in the road is all it takes...

to see one’s life so ripe with strife...

and thanking God...

it’s just a fork in the road...

and not a knife!
