Easy and Delicious Apple Turnovers ---------- If you like apple pie, here
is a quick and easy twist to making a tasty pastry with a similar taste. Apple
turnovers are wonderful pastries perfect for breakfast, tea time, a snack with a
cup of coffee or dessert. They are surprisingly easy to make and extremely
delicious. Here is a simple, but tasty recipe.
Ingredients: 1 large
pastry sheet 2 large apples, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, etc 2
tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 2 ounces of whole
milk Optional: powdered sugar, walnuts chocolate
syrup
Directions: Take your large pastry sheet and quarter it. Next
take your two apples and cut them into thin slices in a bowl. You can peel them
if you would like but they are great with the skin on. Add your sugar and
cinnamon. Now place the apples, cinnamon and sugar at the center of each pastry
sheet. With a brush, moisten the edges of the pastry dough and press them
closed, leaving small pockets for the filling.
Preheat oven to 400
degrees F. Place the turnovers in the oven; cook for about 10 to 15 minutes or
until tops of turnovers start to turn golden brown. Remove from oven and
decorate with powdered sugar, walnuts or chocolate syrup if you wish. This
recipe yields four servings.

Turnovers. Mini Apple Turnovers are made similar to traditional turnovers,
except they are about half the size. Good for almost any time of the day, these
mini treats are easy to make.
