"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future." John Kennedy

Change, change, change that's what we hear from politicians all the time, why, Because the people want change they don't know what they want, they just want to live differently than the way they are living today.

Oh sure there are the well off conservatives who do not want change because they are living high off the hog and could care less about the homeless, unemployed, and those who just barely make ends meet.

All of our politicians speak of change those who are able to capture the vote of the majority of American voters will get into office and then what will happen, will anything change? Of course not, nothing can change as long as we continue living under our present system.

Our constitution has served us well through the years of our development from an aggressive natured individual whose human nature had to match our crude and barren environment. It took men to match our mountains in the past. However, we have evolved from antiquity to a more refined and passive being.

When I use the word evolved, I am not referring to Darwin's theory of evolution. I am speaking of the race between good and evil.

Money was the coal, which kept the fire burning in the souls of men and women. The devil used it to motivate his followers however; in today's world, the devil no longer has control over us. But, money still plagues our lives.

No one man or woman can decide what is best for "we the people" it is up to us the people to unite and develop a new system to live by.

Of course evangelicals will criticize what I say here for they believe they are living by God's rules and that the devil still has power over us. However, they perhaps are the ones who are motivated by the devil and are winning the battle.

Great article, David. And I think you are right. The politicians talk 'change'; the people want 'change'; but with so many who have power to make the changes too happy with the way things are, when will the 'have-nots' have anything?

Thank you for commenting Sandra, I don't know if anything will change with a new president. But something has got to give soon.
