Review the subject of marijuana on the internet or at the library, and you'll find a blizzard of contradictory and confusing information. Experts on both sides of the argument fail to see eye to eye about the harmfulness or addictiveness of the drug.
Perhaps the only ones who know the truth are the ones who lost years or decades of their lives to the substance. Like Rick, currently in rehab at Narconon Arrowhead, one of the country's leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, located in Canadian, Oklahoma. Rick described his experience with marijuana. "I started using marijuana while I was in college. After a while, I stopped showing up for classes, I called in sick. I lost my energy or drive to finish school. Eventually, I burned down my house while I was high and ended up homeless. It was like ten years of my life were just gone. The drug made me selfish and lazy."
Mark, a graduate of the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, said "I started smoking marijuana when I was eighteen. In essence, I woke up at 45 and wondered what had happened to my life. I spent all those years disassociated from my life, introverted into the world of marijuana which was more real to me than the outside world. I tried to clean up on my own but was really mentally addicted to the drug. It took the Narconon program to bring me out of my apathy and back to life."

yes it was helpful. wow. my boyfriend has been smoking marijuana since he was 13. its completely taken over his life, i dont know what to do but now i feel like with this information i can try and intervene. Respond to this comment
