A great many overweight people worry about the fat on their thighs, belly and hips. And that's fair enough. When you look in the mirror and see wide wobbly hips and a massive jelly belly staring your down rather malevolently, you do tend to zero in on them with a bit of a Clint Eastwood style squint. "Go ahead fat gut," we snarl threateningly at the offending body part "ruin my day".
So the search is on for a diet and/or exercise program to target hips, thighs and/or stomach.
Notice by contrast the lack of diets that promise to take inches off your breasts or even your flabby arms?
The reasons are pretty simple, when you think about it. You can get away beautifully with fat breasts. Unless you are sporting a set of man boobs, your big bouncy breasts are seen by society at large as a very attractive part of you indeed.
Your arms, no matter how massive, are always going to be smaller than your thighs.
Your critical eye hones in on the very largest muscle groups and bone structures - thighs and abs and hips. I guess I forgot to mention bum, didn't I. But you probably think that's too big as well, I'm guessing. It's just that you don't actually see it that often.
The great news is that the diet and exercise program to take weight off your thighs, hips and belly is a simple one. It's just that it will take weight off your arms and neck and breasts as well.
Sure you will lose heaps of weight off the chunkier areas of your body, but you will stay in proportion. You are going to look better all over and that is what you really need, despite your current fixations.
The only drawback of undertaking a standard nutritional diet and exercise program is that you are going to lose some fat off your breasts. (Again, not an issue for a man) You are going to lose quite a bit actually, whether you are naturally small or large breasted. Accept the fact that you are going to drop a couple of bra sizes. Your spine may well be quite grateful for this outcome.
Once you lose your excess fat, you actually can sculpt your body quite a bit. Don't get me wrong. You are not going to remodel your entire body shape without expensive, invasive and somewhat risky surgery.
You are never going to have the body of a supermodel if you are not naturally tall and fine boned. You will not achieve a state of petite-ness if you are not short. Try to learn to live with this disappointment. Blame your parents if it helps.
There are however quite striking and significant changes that you can make to your body once you are trim and fit from a healthy nutritious diet and a regular daily exercise program.
You can easily add shape to your shoulders, lose inches from your waist and either lean out or bulk up your arm and leg muscles with the right type of resistance training.
You can stop searching for the miracle diet that is going to target just your thighs, belly or hips. By using a simple weight loss diet and some focused daily effort on your part, you will be saying goodbye to your thunder thighs forever.
