It used to be a mans word was his bond. In other words his guarantee that what he says he will do. It spoke to his very being as a man, an individual, a person of character, his morals, integrity, honor and all the good things many profess, but in my opinion are far removed from in this age. In my opinion that is no more. It is now what someone says, not what they do.

Moral is defined by Webster's Dictionary and as paraphrased, as what is good or bad, duty or obligation, principal, values, conduct, ethics, philosophy, consciousness of moral importance.
Integrity is defined by the same source and paraphrased as incorrupt, incapable of bribery or moral corruption.
Character is defined in paraphrase as attributes or features that makeup and distinguish an individual.
Profession as defined and as paraphrased by the same source as an act of publicly proclaiming a belief, faith, opinion, faith.

So I ask you my fellow Americans, especially you who profess a religious belief, those of you who profess to be decent, honest and have integrity and those of you who evidently openly stated, that 90% of you do not trust, nor feel Congress, our leaders, are doing a poor job, or you have other concerns about, how you can still vote for the very same people you have openly professed to be the opposite of, in disagreement with, do not condone, or approve of?  Rhetorically, is it you are not what you profess to be? Are we all then hypocrites?

Why would I say this? Well please help. You see I have thought and thought about what a man says he is and what he professes and I have evaluated all of these candidates by nature of what they have done and what they have failed to do verses what they have openly professed and they have been found wanting, if I may borrow a similar statement from another book. No it is not judgment because in order to make a qualified decision one must consider all the facts. No it is not about sin becuse all men sin and fall short. No, I can accept failure and when someone is man enough to admit it. However,I  am evaluating their works to see if what they demonstrate I like and approve of. So I trust in facts.

Fact: according to Webster's and to paraphrase is something hinging on evidence, actual, an occurance, information, reality, truth.

So in my opinion I have not found any in my opinion based on what they have participated in over these years, what they have done over these years and what they have been a part of, Washington, who can bring about change. Sorry, no not one that many choose their favorite. So,  I ask you how you came to your opinion? Was it by package or substance? By words or deeds? Was it just feeling, emotions. Well thats a hell of a lot to gamble with.
The test is really if they represent by actual deed what you believe because to represent you hold certain beliefs but ignore them for some other reason indicates you are of the same character as they. Say one thing but do another. It says, like it or not, that you are willing to sacrifice your values for something else. It is that simple. It is not about a crusade, social justice, likes or dislikes, no it is about who YOU say you are and what you stand for. Yes, is your hand your bond and can I trust what you say you believe in?

Now people look to Florida, that Sunshine, AT Will State, home of the haves that I call in my opinion the Darkness State for average Americans who will vote to nominate a Republican. Does it matter the Democrats are not here? I don't think so. The same types that vote for these Republicans will vote for them. In my opinion why waste the money? In my opinion throw their names in a hat and pick one. You will get little difference.

So the real question, lies in your heart, because it matters to no one but you, when you go out and profess they are not doing their job, yet you turn right around and vote for them, are you who you say you are?

So as we ponder CHANGE and all that we hear these candidates profess, all I ask is, do they really represent you? If it is the best we have, then think again. Yes, think about your family, your future. You see if we elect any of this bunch and I do mean any, very little, ok I'll say that again, very little in my opinion will change. A few crumbs here and there many something out of fear. We can hope I am wrong and we do get something. I for one am not holding my breath.

Why, we have not killed the root and like a wart it will come back. Do we have a problem. I would say so. Do we have a fix, well who knows. We can hope and pray. Election day 2008 will tell the facts.
