Yes, before we start let me say for those who will read and think of this as something more or different then what it is intended to be, or read more into it, understand that I agree we all fall short. Yes and we all can and do disagree. We all have likes and dislikes, we all have opinions and beliefs. However, that is not the isuse here. What I am asking as a question evolves around the works and the deeds we do, not what we profess.
So lets start by asking about this. "Money always trumps peace" GWB. Fact, we are at war. People are dying each minute. So just what does that statement say to you? Does it say if you have a choice between making peace and stopping the killing or making money you would take making money first or not? Does it say you have no choice and money is always first? I do not think it can be taken out of context although some may try to explain it away. It is what it is.
In my opinion, what that says to me is no life can be placed ahead or before making money. Hey, look at Nam, thousands died and for what? This is not about courage, valor, honor, loyalty, patriots all. It raises the question, why? So,
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Now how about when government gives tax breaks to the richest of the rich while giving the average and poor little to none and actually brags about their tax breaks to hard working families. What do I mean. Well a person making $14,000 a year has to pay about $1000,00 a year into the government in tax, social security, medicare. Out of that they get back about $120.00 after deductions. They must live off of $13,000 net take home. That is food, clothing, shelter, etc.
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Now you earn $14,000 a year in Social Security. Your wife makes $25,000. If the total is over a combined $32,000 so you pay taxes on that. Never mind this is gross and not net. Yes, if you are upset by that and call IRS, those friendly people who in my opinion all need to be replaced with a fair tax, to clarify this, don't waste your time because your friendly IRS agent will say
" hey, don't take that up with me, take that up with your representative". Rhetorically, I guess that is if you, me or anyone can find one that represents us.
Now cutting millions off of medicare may be a bean counters and politicans dream answer. However, this is a major source of help to the retired and elderly, but why is there no mention of those large insurance companies and Health Care providers they force you to go to. You know the ones making billions in profits? Rhetorically, I'm sorry you don't have to go, you can either suffer or just plain die. That also is a savings. Yes and all the while simultaneously saying we need to place care back into the hands of doctors and practitioners and give people good health care. Who are they and he talking about? It is in my opinion somewhat hypocritical to me. So
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
How about this one. Actually bragging about raising the minimum wage to $6.79 and saying there is a job for everyone who wants one. Has this proven to be a fallacy or not? I won't even qualify responding to anyone who thinks this is not sin.
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Oh yes and something you never ever hear of from any of them or the press, which is charging people 31% and upwards interest on Credit Cards and finding no fault with it morally. In my opinion that alone speaks volumes to their character, morals and integrity much less who their God is. Harsh judgment no, just a fact. Read the definition of usury. I am also of the opinion, like it or not, anyone who can defend this shouldn't take another look at their soul. In my opinion if anyone can argue this is not usury it speaks volumes to their own condition. Then I must ask,
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Here is a real good one. A family man with two children isn't hired for an entry level job at $7.00 and hour [cough]. This is a "we will train and no experience necessary". Now one Easter Bunny look and you would see by outward appearence and by speach the man at least looks decent and a good candidate, no slouch here. Do they hire him or any? No, "we will get back to you". They provide distortion in the papers and what they profess and people eat it up like the Easter Bunny. Yes, we know why don't we.
Yes, there are plenty of jobs but no one is hiring. Sadly companies get all kinds of government help
if that person is and we will let that one go, fact. I won't apologize for the truth. Why do you think they have that little quiz at the end of the applicaton, census? Are they looking for that PHD?
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Talking about jobs, it is alleged data pertaining to actual job growth in a specific area of this nation is finally showing that the number just may have been inflated and distorted. In other words a company residing in a city may actually employ someone living elsewhere but count them as local employees. Hum, well it is all within the law you know. Yes, just like the 31% interest. Yes and how about all those jobs they project are coming to town? Oh, they forgot to say not for everyone. They may be for Green Card or Outsourcing agencies, perhaps some illegal workers and if do not have expertsie in a specific inductry, well sorry. Yes,
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Yes tell me when soldier or military person comes home from the war and has to beg for help for what is their due and few give a damn, unless it is their own or people finally get their dander up. Yes
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Yes tell me those of you who sing the praises of the Lord in one breath and think what this speaks to is acceptable in the other.
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Yes I will tell you my opinion of where their heart lies and it isn't in what they profess
. Why would they like what is said? They wouldn't because the truth is hard to accept. Yes, 35 million hungry in this nation alone. 40 million sinking into despair and poverty, 50 million without healthcare. Oh, and by the way only 17,000 died last year because they didn't have health insurance. That isn't a bad percentage, right? After all we have 300 million people in America. That's a lot better then the rest of the world, right? Yes,
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
Yes,
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is? Then think about why, who and how this even has to be asked and if you have no answer, you are satisfied, you are comfortable, then
Tell me where your heart is? Tell me where their heart is?
In summation and what I am alluding to is if any of us truly believe that these acts and works are acceptable then one can only come to the conclusion this is where your heart truly lies, regardless of what is professed.
Your heart is where you place you focus and where your heart is so is your God and don't think any differently because your God said it, not I. So if that makes sense perhaps now
you can tell me where your heart is? Then go back and tell me where their heart is?
Sorry, it really is all about YOU and who YOU profess to be.
