Here's the dishy scoops on the movies listed above.

Moulin Rouge 2001

Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

A poet named Christian, (Ewan McGregor) is coerced into writing a musical at the hottest underground club in Paris, Moulin Rouge, and falls madly inlove with a Courtesan, the cities biggest star. A jealous duke covets Satine (Kidman), and lies, treachery, and deeply guarded secrets threaten to destroy their love, and both of their lives. This movie was well done with style, taste, and is worth watching while you snuggle with your sweetheart.

Cold Mountain 2003

Nicole Kidman and Jude Law

Cold Mountain is a truly sad and equally timeless Romantic American Love Story, starred by some amazing Australian/British actors. Renee Zellweger is also in this movie, and plays her part of Ruby, with the eyes that sparkle.

Ada Monroe and her father Preacher Monroe move to Cold Mountain, in Southern Carolina, just before the war broke out between the North and the South. Ada met a very backwards, shy and quiet farm boy named Inman. They were on the verge of starting a courtship, Inman was very taken with the Southern Belle, and she was quivering with excitement every time he was around. The war broke out and Inman was sent off to fight.

Now, in the mean time, Ada, vowed to wait for Inman, no matter how long it took.

Now Renee Zellweger had an important role in this film. She was the cats meow of funny, make you laugh out loud with her constant grumbling, and counting everything, number one, you do it like this, and number two, shut the gate.

Ruby is a spitfire, backwards, no nonsense, honery young lady, who takes the sophisticated, (Nicole Kidman) southern bell, Ada Monroe, a pampered princess who was taught literature, fine arts, and if something had a purpose or a function, it wasn't considered good enough for her to learn. Her widowed father passed away, and left Ada to fend for herself. She was starving, alone, and practically frozen to death, in the big empty homestead, until Ruby came along. All the while, Ada longed for her soldier boy to return to her. She waited for him, as the years passed without one word received whether he was dead or alive. Every day, Ada, loyally wrote letters to Inman, while Ruby taught Ada to fend for herself, and together the two women brought the run down farm into tiptop shape.
Ruby explains it best, so here's Ruby's line in Cold Mountain.

Ruby: [to Ada] We got our own story. Called Black Cove Farm: a catastrophe. I can spell it, too. Learned it the same place you did, in the school room. One of the first words they taught me. "Ruby Thewes, you are a catastrophe!"

Some Romantic Lines From Cold Mountain, might sum up what happened to our poor Inman.

Inman: [to Ada] If you could see my inside, or whatever you want to name it; my spirit, that's what I fear. I think I'm ruined. They kept trying to put me in the ground but I wasn't ready. But if I had... if I had goodness, I lost it. If I had anything tender in me, I shot it dead! How could I write to you after what I'd done? What I'd seen?

Inman: You are all that keeps me from sliding into some dark place.

Ada: But how did I keep you? We barely knew each other. A few moments.

Inman: A thousand moments. They're like a bag of tiny diamonds glittering in a black heart. Don't matter if they're real or things I made up. The shape of your neck, that's real. You were always carrying a tray.

Ada: You wouldn't come inside.

Inman: I wouldn't come inside.

Ada: I had to carry a tray to come out and see you.

Inman: The way you felt when I pulled you to me. That kiss which I kissed again everyday of my walking.

Ada: Everyday of my waiting...

Cold Mountain is one the sweetest love stories ever told. It is so gripping, sad, heart wrenching, and real. You really feel for Ada, and Inman, and want so much for them to find each other again.

Two thumbs up.

Hamlet 1990

Mel Gibson and Glenn Close

Not a romance movie in itself, but a great Shakespearian movie, with a stellar performance by Mel and Glenn. It is not a comedy, but a dark drama, and it is the play, not a play on a play. Most excellent, most riveting, and I give it 2 thumbs up

How to lose A Guy in 10 Days 2003

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson as  Andie Anderson
Matthew McConaughey as  Benjamen Barry

Two very prominent writers for popular magazines both get caught in a web of lies, deceit, and use each other for gain in their careers. They fall in love, and regret what each is doing, and their worlds fall apart when all is revealed. This movie will double you over laughing, it will make you smile, and say ahhh, and fall inlove with two adorable characters and actos.Great sunggly movie.

Two Weeks Notice 2002

Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock
Hug Grant as George Wade
Sandra Bullock as Lucy Kelson

Romantic Comedy, with these two stars sizzling up the silver screen. Sandra Bullock, playing Lucy Kelson, while on a quest to make a complaint to the largest architecture company in New York, she lands the job as Chief Council for the Wade Corporation. The dashing and quite charming George Wade (Hugh Grant) insisted to simply have an assistant that he wouldn't be temped to make his newest ex-wife. Lucy has a brilliant mind, she is sharp legal beaver, and makes a great asset to his company, and to Lucy's dismay, to everything else. If she spends one more interrupted night of sleep, due to an emergency phone call, with her millionaire boss not sure which girl to take home, to him being completely helpless in the simplest task of picking out his tie. Lucy said enough is enough.. After he finally accepted her resignation, and she was replaced by a gold digging vixen seeking to be the newest ex-wife to millionaire George Wade. Lucy's chance for second thoughts were gone. And Charming George had a choice to make.

Nine Months 1995

Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore
Hugh as Sameul Falkner
Julianne Moore as Rebecca Taylor
Tom Arnold as Marty Dwyer
Joan Cusack as Gail Dwyer

Hugh is adorable in this tale, where his fiancé finds out she's having a baby, and he wants to be a playboy and fears commitment. That is until he loses them both, and realizes how empty his life really is, now Hugh must choose between boyhood, and fatherhood. This movie is hilarious. It will keep you two laughing, and giggling and forgetting the rest of the world is out there.. A great cuddle up movie, especially if you planning on making babies.

Notting Hill 1999

Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.

A simple small town English man falls inlove with a high profiled actress (Julia Roberts). It's funny, funny, funny, and ohhh so adorable.

Watching this movie makes you wish you had a big fat Greek Family, who loved you, of your very own. How lucky they are!

Two sisters, modern day witches, try to break the family curse which was set on their family

their mother due to their mother dying of a broken heart when they were very young, and almost
lost each other due to the curse. But their sisterly love shone through, and they found the happiness and peace they sought. This movie is hauntingly delicious, consisting of burring (Nicole Kidman's) Julian, boyfriend in the rose garden, and his haunting them, to (Sandra Bullock) Sally, almost being arrested for his murder, falling inlove with the man doing the investigating. There are three generations of women in the same house, and they laugh, they cry, they scream and mix potions. "Broom fell, companies coming."  A very funny, heart-warming, and great Love Story.

Shakespeare in Love 1998

Gwyneth Paltrow as Viola De Lesseps

Joseph Fiennes as Will Shakespeare

Ben Affleck as Ned Alleyn

Colin Flirth as Lord Wessex (in many movies. Played Amanda Bynes British Father, in What a girl wants, and starred in Nanny McFee., And Then She Found Me, with Helen Hunt)

Geoffrey Rush as Philip Henslowe  (Captain Barossa, Pirates of the Caribbean)

The living life of Will Shakespeare, and how he finally found his muse, for whom he wrote about, as Viola. Will fell into a forbidden love affair with Viola De Lesseps, where the traditional Shakespeare of crossing dressing, cross gendering, and a forbidden women on the stage. (as women weren't allowed to act in those days)

A delightful, exotic, and heartsweeping tale. It's full of humor, anecdotes and Joseph Fiennes and Gwyneth have great chemistry on screen.

Shall We Dance 2004

'SHall we dance Mr. Clark? ' Jen Lopez, and Richard Gere

Richard Gere as John Clark

Jennifer Lopez as Paullina

Susan Sarandon as Beverly Clark

Richard Gere plays, a man going into a midlife crisis, who wants to fulfil his life, without demeaning the life he has, so he secretly takes dance lessons, from the hot and beautiful Jennifer Lopez. They develop a respectful friendship, and his wife suspects he's having an affair, she hires a detective and discovers her husband in a ballroom competition. Almost losing his marriage over his want to dance, Gere gives up dancing, and all of their worlds fall apart and mend back together. Heart-warming, exciting, and a wonderful classic. Sometimes people stay away from dance movies, because they are dated to that time frame, and improvements are made yearly, but relax when it comes to this one, the dances are elegant, Jen Lopez knows her stuff, and the performances are championship worthy.

Ghost 1990

Demi Moore and Pattrick Swayze.

Patrick Swayze as Sam Wheat

Whoopi Goldburg as Oda Mae Brown, The Psychic

A classic movie, loved by all. Demi's boyfriend is murdered when they were mugged in an alleyway. The only thing is, the murder was planned, and now the killer is after Molly. Molly doesn't know he's the killer, and he is someone she knows, and trusts, and turns to in her time of mourning. Sam, realizes he is dead, and has to deal with the fact that he's a ghost. He also realizes that he was murdered, and was left on earth to protect Molly, the love of his life. Only, he doesn't know how.

Sam goes through some pretty strange things to figure out how to be a functioning ghost, and he meets Oda Mae, (Whoopi), a clairvoyant who can actually hear him talk. And ramble on. And sing, "I am Henry the VIII I am."  He won't stop haunting Whoopi, until she agrees to help him save Molly. And reluctantly, the clairvoyant convinces Molly that Sam is real, and she is in real danger, and Molly worst nightmares come to life.

One of the most cherished of all Romantic Movies ever made, Modern or Classic, is Ghost. Whoopie Goldburg and Pattrick Swayze will make you laugh out loud. They are the funniest pair, so cute and adorable, and just wild. Also, Demi Moore and Pattrick Swayze have such beautiful chemistry, that they will make you cry right along with them.

Dirty Dancing 1987

Pattrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey as Frances 'Baby' Houseman

Patrick Swayze as Johnny Castle

Jerry Orbach as Dr. Jake Houseman

Cynthia Rhodes as Penny Johnson

This is a Classic Famous Romantic Tale, that will go down in history a hundred years from now. It is timeless, and equals any Hollywood Classic Love Story. My dance instructor worked on the choregraphy team for this movie, and I can tell you from experience that all of those boys know what they are doing when it comes to music and dance.

Johnny Castle, a poor boy, working at a fancy resort giving dancing lessons to hussy rich women looking for playboys to occupy their time away from their husbands, is streetwise, been beaten down by life, and knows what it is to fight for everything you have. He lives with friends, the other dancers, at the low end of the resort, and hangs onto his job by a single thread. Break one rule, and you're fired.

Baby, (Jennifer Grey) is one of the young girls to come to the resort with her family for the summer. She is very innocent with a lot of really big ideals about the world, and all that's supposed to be good in it. When she meets Johnny, and his friends, on their turf, her eyes quickly open to the injustice in the world, and the hardships the less fortune endure to survive. Having such strong beliefs, and being the good Doctors favourite daughter, she goes to her daddy Dr. Houseman, for help. Only to end up forbidden to see Johnny again.

In secret Johnny teaches Baby to dance, to help out his dance partner who got pregnant and needs an abortion. Baby grows into a woman, practically overnight, and evolves from Baby to Frances. This is a summer romance to remember. Baby learned a lot about life, and love. Johnny finally had someone believe in him. And the good Doctor realized, it was time to let Baby grow up. But for her passionate romance with Johnny, it was quickly ended, when they staff house fired him for breaking the rules. Now Johnny had a decision to make, would he walk away from Frances, and let the rich boss win, or will he stay and fight, the way Baby taught him?

I have seen some dance movies from the 80's that would make you shake your head, and try really hard not to laugh. But this one doesn't. It is made in the 80's but is set in the 60's. The music is perfect, the dance moves aren't lame, or embarrassing to watch as others movies. Infact, the dancing is grade A One, and always will be. Perfect movie to watch with lovers and friends.

City of Angels 1998

Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage as  Seth

Meg Ryan as  Dr. Maggie Rice

Andre Braugher as  Cassiel
Dennis Franz as  Nathaniel Messinger
Colm Feore as  Jordan Ferris
Robin Bartlett as Anne
Joanna Merlin as  Teresa Messinger
Sarah Dampf as  Susan
Rhonda Dotson as  Susan's Mother
Nigel Gibbs as  Doctor
John Putch as  Man in Car
Lauri Johnson as  Woman in Car
Christian Aubert as  Foreign Visitor in Car
Jay Patterson as  Air Traffic Controller
Shishir Kurup as  Jimmy, Anesthesiologist

This is a classic film, that will always be on anyone top ten modern romance movie titles ever. Meg, playing Doctor Maggie Rice, loses a patient in her operating room, and Seth (Nicolas Cage) is an Angel who has come to collect her patient. For a brief second, Seth felt as though Dr. Rice had looked him right in the eye, even though Angels aren't supposed to be seen by humans. His curious nature leads to him start following her around, and her tears, and pain over losing her patient compels him to show himself to her, as a mysterious stranger. Maggie is quite taken with this mysterious stranger, and although she is in a relationship, can't get Seth out of her mind.
As one thing leads to another, they fall in love, deeply in love, and Maggie figures out that he's not human, he's an angel. In confusion and frustration she breaks if off with him, vowing to marry her boyfriend . She wants a real man, who she can touch, and feel and love.

Now, Seth has a decision to make. He can either forget her, and continue on as an Angel of God, or, he can fall. Once an Angel falls, he can never go back. Wait there's more. You guessed it, he chose fall, and fell to the ground from the highest building.. but Maggie was gone off with the boyfriend. Seth had no money, no means of travel, and no one to help. Has Seth given up a lifetime of eternity without sickness, and pain, to an empty life on this planet doomed to a life sentence without her?

You have to watch the movie to see. This movie is guaranteed to make you cry, so stock up on tissues, whether you've seen it before or not.

The Wedding Singer, 1998

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

Adam Sandler as Robbie Hart
Drew Barrymore as Julia

Set tastefully in the 1980's, Drew Barrymore plays a waitress named Julia who is engaged to guy named Glenn Guglia, when she meets (Adam Sandler) Adam, just had his heart broken, as his fiancé Linda stood him up at the alter. He was always a big fan of weddings, due to a childhood tragedy. As Julia plans her wedding to Glenn, who is by the way cheating on her, and Robbie found out and didn't have the heart to tell her, Robbie, who is the wedding expert, comes along to help, and falls inlove with her. Julia falls inlove with Robbie to, but when she goes to tell him she was too late. Linda showed up at Robbie's house first, and made it look like to Julia that she and Robbie were back together.

In a moment of despair Julia agrees to marry Glenn in Los Vegas and hops a plane. When Robbie wakes up at his house, and kicks Linda out, confiscating his Van Halen t-shirt from her, before she jinxes the band and they break up, he goes looking for Julia. It doesn't take him long to figure out that Julia's left town with Glen. Now Robbie has to reach deep down in his friends pockets for some quick cash to go after the girl of his dreams. Meeting his favourite rock star Billy Idol, might be of some help to Robbie, and his career, but will it be enough to win back the heart of his girl?

This movie is so funny, you'll burst out laughing over and over. Drew Barrymore is the perfect match for Adam Sandler, cause she can take the jokes, and shoot ‘em right back. She's cool. And this movie will make you smile.

Here's the lyrics to the beautiful song Grow old with you, that Adam Sandler wrote for Drew Barrymore in the Wedding Singer. Or best put. Robbie wrote for his one true love Julia, in the Wedding Singer.

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you.

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growin old with you.

I'll miss you, kiss you, give you my coat when you are cold.
Need you, feed you, I'll even let you hold the remote control.

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink.

Oh I could be the man to grow old with you.
I wanna grow old with you.

How sweet is that? That would make a really cool wedding song. A great movie to cuddle with your lover, and giggle, laugh and just have fun.
