Heath's now at peace, resting in his home town of Perth. Michelle Williams arrived in Australia last weekend, carrying her and Heath's two year old daughter Matilda. In a statement she made a plea to the press, "Please respect our need to grieve privately," Williams said. "My heart is broken."

Heath's father Kim, has also made a simular plea for privacy, but also made this final statement about the cause of his son's death. "Today's results put an end to speculation, but our son's beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts," he said in a statement.
Heath's father Kim, also said that he hoped the official toxicology reports would to an end to the gossip surrounding the cause of Heath's death. "While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy," he said, adding "we respectfully request the worldwide media allow us time to grieve privately."

Last weekend a whole group of stars in Hollywood held a memorial service for Heath, lead by MegaStar Tom Cruise, and his wife Kate. There were numerous stars attending, to say their farewell to the Oscar Nominee. Sienna Miller and Ellen DeGeneres, the stars paid tribute to the 28-year-old Oscar nominee on the lot of Sony studios in Los Angeles, celebrity magazine People said on it website. Director Todd Haynes, who directed Ledger in last year's Bob Dylan film, I'm Not There, spoke at the ceremony. People said many of those who attended were connected to CAA, the agency that represented Ledger, or were former co-stars, including Shannyn Sossamon who starred alongside Ledger in A Knight's Tale.

In New York, the memorial ceremony for Heath Ledger was held a week earlier, which was also attended by Michelle Williams, Ledger's former fiancée and mother of his two-year-old daughter Matilda, and ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts.

The official autopsy reports came out on the cause of Heath's death, and as many guessed it was an accident. However, it wasn't an accidental overdose, it was an accidental mixture which had toxic results, according to the official report from the New York City medical examiner, Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose resulting from "the abuse of prescription medications",.

Ellen Borakove, the spokeswoman for the medical examiner, revealed in a statement. "Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," The drugs are the generic names for the OxyContin painkiller, the anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is an alternative name for ibuprofen.

The Oscar-nominated Australian actor was found dead at his Manhattan apartment on January 22, prompting speculation of suicide, however, his family in Perth Australia stood their ground, and denied such accusations.

Heath will be remembered for such wonderful roles, as Mel Gibson's son, in the Patriot. Mel held a casting call, where 500 showed up, and he hand picked Heath from a crowd. Heath will also be remembered for his role in A Knights Tale, Brokeback Mountain, and Casanova.

Fans of Heath Ledger can see him for two more occasions on the silver screen, when The Dark Prince, Batman sega hits the screen this summer, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam, comes out in hopefully 2009.

Peace be with Michelle Williams, Matilda and his family,

Rest in Peace Heath, we'll all miss you.

What ? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this good-looking, rich, actor that was sleeping around with other famous movie stars kills himself with , what 6-7 ? narcotics at the same time, and this is who is idolized. And some people wonder why each generation is a magnified version of dumb & dumber. All life is precious, just seems other people thought more of his then he did.

One of the most cherished things that came out of Johnny Cash's life, is that June Carter believed in him, and with her love, he overcame the roughest patch of his life. A major combination of stress due to over travelling, over working, and fame, and taking pills to keep going. I thank God for people in the world who are like June, they love people no matter what they go through, they don't judge them, or condemn them for their mistakes. Everyone of us makes mistakes in our lives, all of us have regrets. It's too bad that all people can't be like her. This world would be a better place now wouldn't it?

Heath was alone, heartbroken over the breakup with Michelle. No one knows what he was going through exactly, but countless people have said he couldn't sleep, he was pushing himself too hard. He had just flown in from London, was on his way to Vancouver. Just finished one major film where he spent an entire month in solitude rebuilding the image for The Joker. He put his heart and soul into every part he took. Two back to back major films must be difficult. He was trying his best, in the only way he knew how.

It makes me sad when people are so quick to judge and cut down others, instead of understanding them, and feeling for those deeply hurt by a terrible accident. It wasn't a matter of him choosing to end his life, that's what this article is about, it was about him making poor choices, and the toxic results that ended the life of a very young, talented, and vibrant young man. The fact he was famous is irrelevant to his family, and his daughter.

Heath's great smile, and contagious energy will be missed by his fans, including me.

Sacreeta, I respect the fact that you really liked this guy for a multitude of reasons. Believe it or not I too (right around his age) was living a similar life as a musician. Pills to sleep, pills to wake up,flying from here to there, only I, for whatever reason, decided my life and the lives of those I loved was more important than what I was doing.
Heath was a lot more famous than I ever was, so he could have stopped for a break at any time.
The part that may be most damaging(especially to the young) is how people are referring to this as "an accident" If a tree falls on your car...that's an accident. If you drive your car at 120 mph into that tree....you know some people still call it an accident.
My comments were not directed at Heath's worth as a human or at you for your point of view, more towards how things are presented to the public.
You of all people know how powerful words can be in shaping thoughts.

Michael, a little note for you. I didn't mean any disrespect to you personally, my response was intended as a generalized picture of how people are quick to judge stars. Immediately when something happens to one, people are quick to assume the worst, and synical attitudes are usually the response. Not saying that you have a synical attitude, but some people do.

I worked with a few stars during the course of my career, and have grown to have great respect for what they do, an understanding of what they go through to have their career. I write about them, always looking for the good, because as a person to, and I feel for them, and that goes beyond them being a star, I feel for them as people. I also feel for those who are not stars as I have a great love of humanity, and couldn't let you think that I intended any disrespect. In any case, thank you for taking the time to read my article, and posting your opinion in the comment section. Sacreeta

Despite everything that has happened surrounding Heath Ledger and his untimely death, the man will always be remembered for his charismatic smile. Well said Sacreeta, I believe his death was NOT intentional. What is another word for unintentional??? Accident?? Being as famous and in demand as he was, how else are you to cope when you are needed to perform, needed to work, needed to be at your best, not just at premiers, but out in public, when you are yourself. Prescription medicine, it was just an unfortunate mix that he took. Can you believe that it could happen?? Of course!! AND I don't think I'm that naive!

Those who loved him will always remember him. Especially as a loving father..

Thank you mama of 3, for reading my article. It's great to meet another fan of Heath who will miss his smile. It's very sad that his candle went out as such a young age.

The medications he took were prescription according to the examinors office in New York, including ibuprophen, (a product that's like an advil?) and that ones an over the counter. I almost died myself from a bad mix of prescribed medicine, I was taking the herb echinasia, an herb that is supposed to help your immune system, so the rough winter wouldn't give me a cold, and I caught a sinus infection. My doctor prescribed sulfa for me, and the first dose, mixed with echinasia had toxic results. I broke out in a rash from my waist up, my tongue swelled so bad I couldn't close my mouth, and I landed in a hospital knocking on deaths door.

It wasn't an allergy as I thought, it's a deadly toxix mixture to take both of those together and I found out the hard way. When I think of Heath, I remember how horrible it was, and know what that feels like.

Having as many perscription drugs from a doctor as 6-7, really isn't that shocking though, my 80 year old grandma takes about 13 a day from her doctor, and no one raises an eyebrow, because she wouldn't be prescribed them, if she didn't need them.

Thanks for stopping by, and taking the time to leave a comment on my article.
