Sometimes it is quite difficult to determine what is causing your sensitive skin condition. There can be many different reasons that can cause your skin to become sensitive and is not always that simple to find a solution.

If you are using many products this will only make the task all the more difficult. The best way, if you are finding your skin is becoming sensitive, is to determine if there have been any changes in the products you are using.

Obviously if you've recently changed products and your skin has become sensitive then that will be the first thing that you would look at.

If there have been no changes in the face care products that you have been using then you will need to look at other factors. Have there been any changes in your lifestyle or other changes that you might have made recently.

You may have always had an underlying condition that has been made worse from some other factors such as stress.

As we age, we find that we are often faced with skin conditions that would not have been a problem in our younger years. Skin might become sensitive to products that we have used for years with no problem whatsoever.

If you are not under extra stress and there have been no major changes in your lifestyle, then it may be time to start testing new products that are milder on your skin. This process can take quite some time particularly if you use several products on your face.

Today, with the advent of "natural" or "organic" products, there are many natural face care products on the market that can be milder on the skin. But once again you will need to test them on your own skin first as even natural products can cause irritations when the skin becomes sensitive.

Michelle,
Nicely done. My skin is sensitive to certain types of detergents. I use hypoallergenic products. I think I spelled that right? LOL
