Have you ever met someone, gotten their name but forgotten to get a phone number even though they said "Call me." Unfortunately this happens all the time to just about everyone. A potential sales opportunity lost, a business contact lost, or even the opportunity to meet someone special is gone and your find yourself asking "How can I find someone's cell phone number?"
In the old days you could look up just about anyone's number in the phone book or call information to get the information you needed. Because cell phone numbers are held in private databases by the providers this information is not available to the general public. So unless you write the number down, have a great memory for numbers, or program the number into your phone's contacts list it is something of a pain to hunt it down.
Fortunately there are several options you can use to try and find out someone's cell phone number. The first two ideas are free but the chances of success are low percentage wise. Your best bet to find that unknown cell number is through a service that has access to the hundreds of millions phone numbers the cell providers keep.
Your first choice for finding a cell phone number for free is to use one of the big internet search engines. Just Google that name and see what comes up. Many people leave all sorts of personal information on the internet and you may get lucky and find their phone number. Of course the chances of this happening are slim but it is worth a try.
Another free route you can try is to find one of the many cell number sharing sites that are starting to pop up around the internet. They will allow you access to their database once you have given them your personal information including your own cell number. The big drawback of using these sites is they are relatively new and do not have a lot of information entered into them yet.
If you want to really find someone's cell number you'll probably have to pay for it. The cellular providers do allow certain information providers access to their phone number data bases but they have to pay for it. The fee is usually nominal and once you pay you will have unlimited access to their information for as long as you want. They will also give you access to a whole wealth of information in addition to that persons cell number that will include details about the cell phone owner, address history, who their provider is, and even whether or not their phone is still active.
So the next time you ask yourself "how can I find someone's cell phone number" all you have to do is look it up on your computer. Most of these services have access to hundreds of thousands of cellular records so your chances are pretty good that you'll find the information you are looking for.
