Perhaps first I should clarify that I believe in Jesus, I believe He is the Son of God. I should also add that I've never fully read the Bible, because my view is that, man has altered its words throughout history.

I do think the truth is buried in its pages, and His message has been revealed for all that seek it. I compare this idea to the fact that, in the U.S., we have in place over 32,000 laws trying to enforce 10 commandments.

One of the most popular parts talked about in the bible has always been the end of days, the end of time, judgement day, revelations, whatever you call it. I prefer The End.

There are people that point to everything from Nostradamus, the Mayan calender, the Bible, the Pyramids, what's that Chinese book that mentions it ?, astrological signs, Edgar Casey, Merlin the Magician, it's a long list of things that, to some, mention or elude to December 12th 2012.

To me, the most enticing argument is how many there are and that the Mayan calender is included, which according to some pretty smart people, is the most accurate calender ever. And on that date ...it just ends.

Again, not being a scholar of the Bible, I may have this wrong, but didn't it say something about a man will rise to great power and bring peace to the world?

He will have many followers that will be so glad he solved all our problems. He will unit the peoples of the world to live in peace and harmony. I seem to remember something about , he will survive an assassination attempt also.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that sound just a bit like this wonderful political rock star Barrack Hussein Obama ?  Yes I added his middle name...because.....it's his middle name. If it would have been Leroy, I would have written that instead.

He's so concerned with how the world looks at America, and we should stop the war, and have universal health care, his wife is, for the first time in her adult life "proud". Personally I think osama bin ladin is dead, but it wouldn't surprise me if he even came out an endorsed obama.

Now I'm now saying that any of this is even possible, but it did stop me in my tracks the other night when I heard a young, female, first time voter, say " He is a cute little devil."  Yikes !!!

If it's not true, then it's simply a damn good screenplay for a hollywood movie, but if it is.......

Lord have mercy.

Hi Michael, are you surprised I am responding to this article? :-) Yes, you are right in saying the Bible has so much information on the end times. One of the many amazing things about the Bible, is that its truth is weaved through the old and new testament. It is amazing that events were fortold centuries before they happened. Even before some scholars could comprehend what they meant. One example being jesus' words about a third temple being built and how the anti-Christ would set himself up as God sitting in the temple. Though this would not happen until after Israel would become a nation again. Just one hundred years ago, no one could fathem that jesus meant this literally, so they speculated it must be a spiritual coming together. Anyway, back to the issue. Jesus said that the end times would be close after this and that generation would not pass. A Biblical generation is anywhere from 40 years to 100 yers (book of Exodus). Isn't it interesting that since Israel became a nation in 1948 (or is is 47) the world has changed drastically. So, this is just one example to point out that it is not the Bible that has errors, but rather the intrepretation based on man's limited understanding. I love how Israel already has some of the walls made for the temple. They are currently training priest and they now have a Red Heffer. Which is another prophecy fulfilled. All this to say, yes this man of deception and false peace is coming soon. Only God knows who he is. But one thing is for sure, it is going to happen whether we believe it or not.

As far as not reading the Bible, it breaks my heart and God's that His children do not read His word. Do you know that God says He magnifies His word above His own name? The question we need to ask ourselves is do we believe God is stronger than man? There is so much evidence that the Bible is true. It amazes me that the Bible was written over a span of thousands of years, and 66 different authors and it all aligns. It amazes me that many of the prophecies about Jesus could not have been tampered with. Such as where he was born, how he was born and how he died.

The choice is ours. But God also said that near the end, many will fall away and turn to false doctrines because it sounds good. The devil is working overtime because he knows his time is short. Anyway, I rambled long enough. :-)

I still think it would make a great movie - even though it is true. Jesus said when you see things things coming to pass, look up for he will surely return just as He said. Some will be ready and some will not. Just my humble opinion. Blessings to you! Teresa

Actually Dear, I was looking forward to you being the first to comment on this article. As for reading the Bible cover to cover, I believe, over my 51 years, I've known an array of people that have taught it to me page by page.

Don't let it break your heart as you say, remember the promise of "Ask and you shall receive"? well I simply asked to be shown and since that day, everyday, someone or something appears to show me what I asked for.

Blessings from you
Michael

I've been reading your articles for a while now and don't know quite what to make of you. You seem to love the US as much as I do but hate politicins with as much passion, me to. I believe in God as it is apparent you do as well but again, like me, you may not call yourself religous, or a fan of "organized" religion. Like me you speak your mind without worrying about the type of political correctness that has just about destroyed this country. I think I'll join your fan club and see how you pan out. So far, I love your stuff and your writing style. your kind of like an onion in that every article you submit you are pealing away a layer deeper into who and what you are, with a few tears along the way.

Hello Myla, I must say, I've received an assortment of comments since I began writing here, this one has to be the most unique one of them all.

It does seem we have quite a bit in common, even more than you know. I enjoyed looking around your website, especially the "Internet Marketing" section. That is my latest passion.

I've immersed myself in learning SEO and copywriting over that past year or so.

Now to top it all off, believe it or not...when I was searching for what picture to use here on searchwarp, I did decide to put up the one from a vacation I took to an island, but I was this close ....to using the one of me in the same pose that your doing in yours. Go figure.

Thank You again for such kind words and I do hope I pan out well.

Michael, now how can I argue with this kind of response? :-) I suppose my passion for others to read the word, comes from the gift He has given me to teach. The teacher can't teach unless she is first a student. Would you believe me if I said I did not consider myself a religious person? I just don't want Christians to be deceived. Love and friendship, Teresa

You always have such insightful things to add, I Thank You. Wouldn't it be grand, if it turns out that on the day you die and you get to approach the "gates" of Heaven, your not asked what religion you are, and they don't open the "book of life" and that all your asked is,,,,"So what do you think?"
