As they led him away, they seized Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry behind Jesus. A great multitude of the people followed Him, including women who were mourning and lamenting Him. Luke 23:26-27

Two others-criminals- were also led away to be executed with Him. When they arrived at the place called The Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing." And they divided his clothes and cast lots. Luke 23:32-34

An inscription was above Him: This is the King of the Jews. Luke 23:34

It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three, because the sun's light failed. The curtain of the sanctuary was split down the middle. And Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I entrust My spirit." Saying this he breathed his last. Luke 23:44-46

There was a good and righteous man named Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin, who had not agreed with their plan and action. He was from Arimathea, a Judean town, and was looking forward to the kingdom of God. He approached Pilate and asked for Jesus' body. Taking it down he wrapped it in fine linen and placed it in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had ever been placed. It was preparation day and Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come with Him from Galilee followed along and observed the tomb and how His body was placed. Then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to commandment. Luke 23:50-56

After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to view the tomb. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached the tomb. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his rob was as white as snow. The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.

But the angel told the women, "Don't be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here! For he has been resurrected, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. The go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead. In fact, He is going ahead of you to Galilee, you will see Him there,' Listen I have told you."

So, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples the news. Just then Jesus met them and said, "Good morning!" They came up took hold of His feet and worshipped Him. The Jesus told them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to leave for Galilee and they will see Me there." Matthew 28:1-10

The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. When they saw Him, they worshiped, but some doubted. Then Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:16-20

Many will not know what "HCSB" means. Could you give the full Bible version name? This article lays out the true story, from the scripture source, of those days when God was bringing to fulfillment what He had said from ages past. It bears repeating has done here. We take much for granted. Like many eternal truths, the reality and significance of the Resurrection are often hidden from the wise and revealed to the humble or poor in spirit.
