She doesn't! And today, I'm officially embarrassed to be a woman and am denouncing my citizenship. How this is any different than prostitution, I have absolutely no clue.

I realize that Paul McCartney "made out" in this whole deal financially speaking as Mills was asking for the ridiculous sum of 250 million and received significantly less, poor girl. Most men, however, lose much more of their total net worth and future earnings than McCartney did, but when a couple is married for only four years, and 99.9% of those assets were created before the marriage, how do you argue Mills deserves any of it?

I may have made mistakes in the settlement of my own failed marriage, but I at least made an attempt to be fair, Mills has not and obviously had her sights on McCartney's money all along

I was working when I met my ex and I did not put my own career on hold to put him through school or to become a stay at home mom, neither did Mills. I was earning a living before him, as was Mills, and I'll continue earning long after he is but a distant memory. Mills no longer has to do that.

My Ex and I divided assets that were acquired during the marriage equally, selling our home, various investments, and rental properties, which hurt, but I didn't go after his baseball card collection he'd had since childhood and worth a small fortune or anything else he had acquired before the marriage because it WAS NOT MINE!

I won't go into the amount of child support McCartney agreed to pay because that issue is still open for debate in my own mind. The kid is not going to starve anyway.

My Ex and I had agreed to not hire evil money sucking lawyers and he reneged on that deal costing me in the end. I'll live with that mistake. I could not, however, live with the fact that I just received a huge settlement from someone I had only been with a very short time in exchange for having sex with him, which is basically what Mills did!

Please do not insult me and say I'm just jealous I didn't get to him first! Throw in the fact that she also capitalized on someone who had just lost his long time wife to cancer and I believe we have witnessed true evilness; why she was so popular on Dancing With The Stars, is beyond me. I suppose we were inspired by her triumphing through her handicap.

I'll tell you what. If you ever want to see what overcoming a handicap really looks like, I'll be happy to take you to see innocent smiling faces on sick and dying children at the Children's hospital and we can discuss how dancing for media exposure in front of twenty-five million people compares to a child's will to live another day.

There is no comparison. Yes, Heather Mills has benefited from a broken legal system, so good for her, right? No, she could have chosen to do the right thing, in private, and helped to fix this ongoing problem of legalized prostitution!

hi myla,
how about anna nicole smith? i believe she loved that man out of desperation to be cared for, but come on.... the love of money is the root of all evil.
to some, it overpowers even their love for people in the end. thanks for an interesting story,
best regards,
sue

The love of money is the MOST evil!! Only thing worse is child molestors! I need to refocus, I'm a little angry these days. Thankyou for commenting! myla

A great article for someone (like me) who doesn't follow the entertainment crowd's every move. (Legalized prostitution...that's definitely one way to look at it!) Thanks, Myla!

I have wondered the same and written about this woman twice, once sympathetically re how the press were hounding her and very recently re the settlement and the gross amount of money some people claim to NEED to survive.

I don't feel sorry for either of them now though and certainly not Paul . At the end of the day he's an old geezer who took up with an attractive young woman after his missus died from cancer.

With an estimated asset total of 400 million, 15million % wise is peanuts. In the Uk the ex with a child would get 50%, so the figure would be closer to 200million. They are both Britts too.

Ms Mills is an odd one too, it's all very bizarre.

Good article!

Thank you for the comments. Yeah, I guess paul is an old geezer but he did pick a gal of questionable looks, in her mid thirties and with only one leg. I think if he was trying to hook up with a younger gal for the sake of, well you know, he could have done a heck of a lot better than her. lol myla

I guess if you marry for anything other then love you lose? In my opinion it is more a sign of the times where love changes like the seasons. Hey when you have you can accept someone most likely, not always, wants. Yes, you make a good point, when it comes down to it under those circumstance you get to pay for something either way.

I've always liked 'Pauley' the best of all the Beatles. I was sad when Linda died - he loved her deeply. As for Heather, well, I didn't really know who she was until all the Dancing with the Stars hubbub. Her whole star status came from her spouse. Sad.

actually george was the best beatle, he was the only one that truly lived what he preached- the others were just superstars-george was practically devine. a man of faith and creed.

cant stand the woman but then again pauly was a bit greedy regarding all that beatle money when the fabs split. wot goes round...however neither of them are truly evil. stalin and hitler were truly evil and george bush stole the presidency back in 2000 when al gore had actually won- that has caused suffering beyond belief-true evil. forget about pauly and mills, we should be more concerned about the likes of mugabe and co and the fact that russia is turning into nazi state and.....need i go on?

its too easy to judge and hate millsy because the media tells us to-its the same media that hounded princess diana to her death, that ridiculed frank bruno during his breakdown, that have stepped on so many toes just to get that story. they'll soon find someone else to be the 'bad guy' and millsy will just be old news. i'm no fan of hers, but y'know what, she's just tryna make her way in this world like the rest of us. she's not the first to step on some toes to do so and at least she stepped on the toes of someone who could afford it and some...kerching!
