If we take a look at the definition of sin we find that within that one word we see many others. Sin In most cases it described an offense against a religious law. In this article I use it in the another context because it is in my opinion literally the truth. That is if one cares to examine the works of our leaders, what they have done or failed to do. Another part of the definition of sin is fault. Fault equates to deception or to disappoint. While a less serious sin which can be defined as a moral weakness. Finally imperfections, and also accepting or having the responsibility for what has happened.
So in my opinion I believe it does because we all sin and I believe one could ask openly does sin have a role in our economy? It is truly up to each individual to examine if my opinion applies to their works. I certainly do not suspect the very worst offenders to say they see it. After all does the thief stop what they are doing because they know it is wrong?
So we do know that many always profess their faith and that we are a Christian nation based on the rule of law. That is critical to this opinion. It can be said that many of our politicians, business leaders and prominent people go to church. We are a nation that welcomes religious beliefs and I know of none that preaches anything one might think of as negative. So it would not be out of the question to ask why do we have the multiple and rampant problems that we have? If our leaders in all walks of life are as a majority professed believers and many of those Christians just why is what is happening in the signs and symbols that dot our daily lives allowed to be?
Must I list all of the issues again that are caused by what anyone who is a self proclaimed religious believer would call nothing more then sin? Just recently the press has spoken to distortions and omissions of these candidates records? Rhetorically do we expect not? It is strange that these same leaders evidently find nothing wrong with what they do. Much of what is happening is all within the law, after all did they not draft, have a hand in or do nothing about these very laws? Do they not support these ideologies and acts? Rhetorically could it not be the law but how it is manipulated or ignored? Rhetorically, is that not sin or is that "good business"?
Double standards that are brazen facts, actual lies, fabrications, omission, incomplete information, yes see above for the definition of sin. You already know you rarely hear the "rest of the story" and many times what you hear is given out of context. It seems to be more the norm, but is that the norm for professed believers? No one can also see the law of selective application at work. If its good for me, do it but not for any others.
Now in today's society you will here just who is it that can define sin as sin? I guess that can be applied to everyone who judges just what is sin or not? Your standard or belief not mine. It is the new age of Ethical Relativity. If it is good for me it must be good and who are you to say otherwise? That is why my opinion is based on what I understand and what in my opinion is the beliefs of those who profess to be Christians.
Rhetorically one might ask after knowing what they have done or not done how they can they stand before anyone and profess they are believers, especially as Christians? I cannot speak for other faiths just my own, but looking at their works one just might be of the opinion of how dare they? Do they not see their works and what they have done and failed to do?
Of course the answer to that is no. In my opinion pride, arrogance, ego and indoctrination make them blind to the realities of what they, by their hand, forged and brought about. No, not true they and their supports might say? Rhetorically one might then ask, are they not the power brokers, elite, wealthy and do and did they direct, tell and make all the decisions that impact us and the world? Yes, what I am speaking to over and over again is what they have done or failed to do. Frankly, it is also on the hands of those who voted for them, support them, give to them and work for them. They share, as an accomplice in all of their works. You cannot run from the truth. Yes you can disguise it, redirect it, ignore it but you cannot change it.
So our bankers, made up of many people who profess, our politicians, people who profess, our legal system workers, people who profess, religious people who profess and yes average citizens with people of every single aspect of our society that commits these sins and allows them and who stand before us and professes but allows and does the opposite know their works are not that of a believer, regardless of what they say and to deny it only confirms it all the more. To correct that they need to take action that repays the one they offended. In this case We the People.
So go down the list of works. Hey they can profess they believe all they want but in my opinion "we shall know them by their works" is the true answer. The essence or fruit of who they really are. Tough talk yes, but there is nothing soft about sin.
That which we do as individuals and many call sin is between that person and their God and no one else to judge. However, that which you do as a leader, in whatever capacity, while also between them and their God has one exception, they also have the added responsibility to be judged for what they do that has effected many.
So please do not insult us when we see 31% interest, excessive fees and profits, the seizing of someone's property to pay off "unsecured debts" , the non payment of that debt because the circumstances which force upon people a capability not to be able to pay back that debt. Is not the exploitation of cheaper foreign labor in the fields of America to be "competitive" and is not immoral ? Credit reporting that can literally destroy people and yet they stand before us and look the other way and talk of others while they profess to believe?
So when you go to vote for them realize this as if you are one who also claims to believe, do you approve of their works or what they say? It is as simple as that. Identify the sin and you will find the answers. No not a religious sermon just an example to make the point. It is called honor, integrity being who you say you are and in doing that you claim to be. It is called common decency, compassion, mercy, love of neighbor and for the common good of all not the few and select. Just go down the list item by item and say you do not see sin.
It is also time the world looked at their leaders. We are not alone. This is a Global problem that impacts the peace and prosperity of all Trade yes, but Fair Trade not one sided. The answers for peace and love and prosperity is in all our hearts not in the barrel of a gun.
It is time for all of us to be who we say we are. To bring about change, we must change. If we are to change, then do it now, we do not have to wait. Demand it now, otherwise accept what you have and what you are and say no more.
Change Congress Change America, now.

Very good article Robert I liked it very much and Yes of course sin has a part in our economy...look at it...its failing everywhere, prices are rising, people are being sent home, because of no work. God wouldn't do that anyone. It's Satans way of either making a family break apart, having to do something illegal to survive, causing worries and stress. etc You have a great article.
