God had been showing me for several days now what I should bring but He really didn't give me the words to say until this afternoon. I started out with one of the memory scriptures for this month which says…

"The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate." Proverbs 8:13 NKJV

Some people wonder why this verse is telling us to fear the Lord. They don't get the fact that even though God is loving and kind, He is also just.

Having a Godly fear is necessary to worship God, to serve others, and even to avoid sin in our lives among other things.

In 2 Corinthians 7:1, Paul exhorts the Corinthians to purify their lives.

He says…"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." KJV

We are to present our ourselves blameless to the Lord and with that comes a holy fear that makes us want to do that. But do we listen to God's voice telling us to fear Him?

I think many people try to… but sometimes their flesh rises up and wants to do things their way.

The way that we conduct our lives throughout the day shows God how obedient we are to His commands. He sees you behind closed doors. He sees everything, hears everything, and even knows your thoughts.

The question is…Do we really live out our lives as if we have that fear of the Lord?
Or do we say, "Maybe tomorrow…I want to do something else right now."

Listen, my brothers and sisters in the Lord… There are many people who are bringing a false witness to others but there is someone who has the power to bring millions of people down the road to destruction. Do you want to know who that is? Of all people…Oprah Winfrey. She is supporting and bringing the teachings of Eckhart Tolle in "A New Earth". It completely contradicts the Word of God.

As I said…millions of people from around the world are taking these teachings to heart. We need to have a strong holy fear of the Lord or we may end up in the same predicament as those people find themselves in right now.

I know that we all have times when we are dry in our walk with God, including myself, but I propose that we drink the living waters now because we are going to be living in a spiritual drought soon if it's not already here and we need to be glued to His Word.

We do need to wake up and smell the awful stench of the enemy wanting to come ever so close to our own hearts. We need to be vigilant and sober in these end times.

Will you choose to wait until tomorrow or will you choose to live a holy and blameless life now? We don't know when this will happen, but as you know, the signs are all there and they're showing us that Jesus' return is closing in fast.

Jennifer Johnson is a Christian who wants to bring truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ to the world, to expose the wiles of the enemy, to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to stand on the firm foundation of God’s Word. She is a counselor of sorts as she is not a doctor and does not have a degree but she is one who wants to offer herself, based upon God’s Word and her painful experiences, to those in need of spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial healing.

Fear of the Lord is showing love and respect to our Father Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit. And our faith is build upon with fearing the Almighty God. And we will live more abundantly by fearing the Lord and there is no other way except to fear him.

Hi Jennifer, God job, I would only add that Proverbs says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This wisdom is what gives us a desire to follow God out of the Love that He has for us. God is loving and just. But He wants us to follow him out of a heart of love and not fear. Godly fear is knowing that he has the power to strike me dead, but understanding that in His love, he will never do that. We have a choice to make, and if we reject Christ, we will surely pay the price of eternal separation from Him, but we made the choice, He didn't turn away from us. I hear you as a sister in the Lord and Agree, I just wanted to add the other side of the coin. :-) Blessings to you, Teresa
