Looking for a unique and quirky way to spruce up your landscaping? You might want to consider purchasing tree faces to decorate your trees. Tree faces are exactly what they sound like, funny or entertaining facial expressions you can mount onto your tree safely to give them more personality. By adding tree faces, your trees can go from expressionless to smiling, kissing, or grumpy. Purchasing a variety of expressions gives you the opportunity to create an entire tree family!

Some of the tree faces on the market are hand crafted and therefore more expensive than those that are mass produced. Selecting a tree face will come down to your personal preference, and if you don’t care much about the fact that its been handcrafted, these quirky faces are generally under twenty dollars. Other things you will consider when selecting a tree face are the detail in the expression and the degree of realism achieved by the use of certain materials and designs. Tree faces can be purchased at any gardening supply store or plant nursery. Additionally, there are a number of websites that sell tree faces.

There are several different installation methods depending on what type of tree face you purchased. There is the cheap and simple wraparound face with is completely flat and has no three-dimensional features. These types are without a doubt the easiest to install or remove. Simply wrap the face around the tree and fasten it in place, and you’re done.

Some tree faces are printed on a sheet of molded vinyl, which is a lot more realistic looking than the previously mentioned style. These tree faces will actually mold to the contours of the tree bark and blend in seamlessly with the tree. By taking on the trees natural curves and shapes, you are achieving a much higher degree of realism and three dimensionality. To install these trees, a nail or other type of anchor must be inserted into the tree to fasten the face to the bark.

The last type of tree face comes in separate pieces that you can arrange to your liking. These sets may come with eyes, a nose, a mouth, and additional facial features you can include. These types of tree faces tend to be popular because you can make them fit on smaller trees, or trees that are oddly shaped. They are generally made out of cement or hard plastic, and can be installed by hanging them from nails hammered into the tree.

Adding tree faces is a surefire way to spruce up your landscaping and give it some real personality! The expressions you choose for your trees will set the mood for your yard, so choose wisely!
