The Verdict is in for Princess Diana's Inquest into her death, hopefully putting an end to the conspiracy theories.
Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed, who were killed in a car crash on August 31, 1997, at the Pont de Alma tunnel in Paris, can finally be put to rest, as the verdict has been decided by the jurors at the Inquest into Princess Diana's Death In England this week.
Princes William and Harry have made a public statement saying, that they are satisfied with the verdict of unlawful killings and made the following statement.
"We agree with their verdicts, and are both hugely greatful, to each and every one of them."
After six long months of hearing witnesses, Lord Justice Baker was fair in allowing all witnesses to reveal their statements in as timely a manner as they required. The 11 jurors visited the crash site in Paris, viewing evidence and going over all the details and events leading to Princess Diana's and Dodi Al Fayed's deaths.
The jury, after much deliberation, concluded with a 9/2 majority, and revealed their verdict on April 07, 2008.
In their grand wisdom the jurors came to the conclusion that Princess Diana's accident was an unlawful killing, but not through conspiracy. That through Henri Paul, the driver's reckless actions, and the reckless paparazzi who chased their car were the cause of the accident. Although there were other vehicles involved, and it is said that the identity of the drivers of those vehicles are still under investigation, the case thus far is closed.
Dodi's father, Mohammed Al Fayed, however, still believes there was a conspiracy, and was displeased with the outcome. After ten long years, of legal battles, the grieving father in a statement showed his disappointment, and still claims a conspiracy, and evidence was covered up.
-- The Inquest proved that Diana and Dodi were in a serious relationship.
-- That the accident was directly caused by the driver Henri Paul, and the paparazzi.
-- That three Inquries, One in France, One in England in 2004 by Lord Stevens, and One Inquiry with a Jury in England, and has disproved the accusation of Murder.
-- That it is possible that pending charges could still follow the hearing on certain parties concerned.
-- With the French Police's conclusion, and the British Inquest with a jury hold simular conclusions, the events and mystery and conspiracy theories surrounding Princess Diana's Death is no longer in question.
-- Again, It was an unlawful killing, due to negligence of the driver, Henri Paul, and the Paparazzi who pursued them.
Many people have mixed reactions to the verdict, but one thing remains common, the Princess needs to be at peace, and the conspiracy theories hold no grounds.
Rest in Peace Diana, and hopefully her Princes William and Harry, can pick up the pieces and finally have peace as well.
