Over 2.25 Million travelers each year come to the island of Maui. Nearly 60 Thousand of these visitors come to Maui to get married each year. That comes out to approximately 30 Thousand weddings each year on our small and world loved Valley Isle.

Choosing the best place to get married on Maui can be daunting but these top ten locations can help you steer your marriage toward smooth sailing from the best possible location.

#10 Makena Cove - with a perfect small patch of beach surrounded by the majestic rocky coast, awe inspiring view of Molokini, Kaho'olawe and the Pacific. Makena Cove is chosen by many for the perfect Maui wedding. Expect whales during whale season and even honu, (sea turtles).

#9 Kamaole Beach Park I - Though this very popular beach has many people on it in the morning and early afternoon hours, it calms down towards sunset and has some of the finest grained sand on the South shore. This fine sand is perfect for barefoot weddings and will gently cleanse your skin smooth. The waves break close to shore but there is plenty of beach for your serene Maui wedding.

#8 Wailea Seaside Chapel - Join your true love in elegant matrimony here at the Grand Wailea Resort. Set just off the sea, with ornate stained glass, this chapel is made just for weddings. A gazebo set in the garden nearby is perfect for small receptions and toasts. You do have to rent the chapel.

#7 Sugar Beach - The longest beach on the island, Sugar Beach is approximately 5 miles long. Abridging Kealia State Wildlife Refuge, Sugar Beach is carefully managed to protect seals and nesting turtles as well as indigenous birds and vegetation. Sugar Beach looks up to Ukumehame ridge in the West Maui's and has a wide open view of ocean and gorgeous sunsets. If you want extra privacy and wide open space, Sugar Beach is your best pick.

#6 Kamaole III Beach Park - Also called peace park as it is dedicated to world peace, proffers grass, beach and a lava promontory overlooking the harbor and sea. If you plan on a picnic or barbecue after your wedding or if you wish to celebrate world peace or enjoy luxurious grass underfoot with the Pacific as your backdrop, Kamaole Beach Park III is perfect for your wedding.

#5 IAO Valley - Nestled in the West Maui mountains just above Old Wailuku Town and easy to reach, the IAO needle stands as a solemn and natural witness to the power of the elements and your love. IAO is a sacred spot. The IAO Valley parks offer a variety of immigrant styled cultural parks and gardens that are well maintained, including Japanese, Korean, Philippine and Chinese architecture and community gardens.

#4 Po'olenalena - Another of Maui's beautiful beaches is host to thousands of weddings each year. Still Po'olenalena is less known and your wedding party will likely have lots of room. From Pu'u Ola'i Crater to the South East, Kaho'olawe island directly South, Molokini Crater emerging from the ocean, Lanai island to the South West and the West Maui's to the West, Po'olenalena offers a breathtaking view, perhaps the widest view of all South Maui Beaches. Po'olenalena has a medium grain sand that is soft on your feet.

#3 Makena Beach - Huge! Huge beach, huge waves, huge sky. Everything about Makena says grand. Makena is comprised of a large grain sand and the sheer width of the beach leaves room for any wedding party to be separated from other visitors. Enjoy the feeling of 1800's Hawaii when you host your Maui wedding right here amidst Keawe trees, lava rocks and the sea.

#2 South Maluaka - Just behind the Prince Hotel, a short walk across a finger of golf course, is one of the most elegant and beautiful spots to be married on Maui. A short walk from Makena Stables (if you should be so inclined), here is one of the most favored spots on the island for the ideal Maui wedding. The waves are generously mild, the wind blows through your hair and the waves soothe your soul. The location aids photography with golf course, beach, ocean and mountain backdrops. Leap into a lifetime of commitment and devotion right here.

#1 Only you can decide the perfect Maui wedding location for your Hawaiian or traditional ceremony. With hundreds of ideal spaces from mountain to sea, rain-forest to beach, Maui is one of the most visited places in the world getting married and honeymooning. That is the reason so many people get Maui'ed right here on the Valley Isle. We hope you do to.
