Desperate Housewives is Back.
So who's husband died on Wisteria Lane? If you missed it, here's the catch up.
Smiles all around, ohh it's been so long, and now Desperate Housewives is on the air-finally after all the waiting, wondering, speculating, we finally got to see it. Oh what a relief it is.
Well if you missed the episode airing April 13th, 2008.. After the tornado swipes through Wisteria Lane, here's the digs on what happened next.
With her usual insightful words of wisdom our sweet and wholesome Mary Alice casts a looming shadow over Wisteria Lane with a word, Faith.
Drama, Drama-Just what are those Desperate Housewives going to do next?
With the trauma of a tornado flattening Wisteria Lane, the tornado had a thing or two coming from the Housewives. They screamed, they cried, they took cover, and battened down the hatches and waited for it to GO AWAY, and it left them in a heap of a mess.
Let's see.
Lynette, abandoned her family in a collapsing building.
Lynette ended up taking cover with her husband and kids in Mrs. McClusky's basement, and she had to put up with Tom and Mrs. McClusky's bickering over Mrs. McCluskey's cat. Tom is allergic, and was getting ill over the closeness to the furry feline. Mrs. McClusky refused to let her kitty go, and in the shuffle the kitty took off. Off went Mrs. McClusky, after the cat, and off went Lynette, after
Mrs. McClusky, and that's about the time when the tornado got worse, and the house collapsed.
Gaby, and Edie are at it again.
After that conniving Edie Britt, who has been rivals with Gaby, over Carlos.. And Gaby won, and as we all recall, in Edie's revenge, she not only hired a detective to photograph Gaby's hot encounter with Carlos, she also hand delivered it to Gaby's husband Victor. And she also made sure Carlos knew Victor knew, and when Victor disappeared Edie was the first to tip off the police about Gaby's affair……….. Hmmm. You'd think Gaby would toss that girl out into the tornado, but she didn't. They actually bonded, and helped each other, and possibly even made a truths.
Carlos and Victor however, didn't quite get that far in the make-up bonding rituals.
Infact, they were more like Neanderthals battling it out over the cavewoman. Tisk, tisk. It wasn't long after their brawl hit the street, that Victor was whacked upside the head with a white picket fence, and Carlos feel unconscious..
Sadly poor Victor didn't make it through the storm, and Gaby became a widow.
Now, the new couple to the street?
That woman who tries to worm her way past Bree in being the perfect homemaker, Katherine Mayfair. Katherine has some closely guarded secrets from her past, and it become revealed. Adam her husband (the Doctor), leaves her, and the housewives offer support, but Katherine trusts no one and sends them packing with their sympathy muffins. Katherine's past comes in pieces, when she remembers Wayne Davis, Dylan's father, and the night when he beat her senseless, until she fought back. Katherine looks down at the stones on the ground, in the shape of a cross, and thinks about the mistakes she's made, and the one she'd buried. Dylan goes to Adam, with a half burnt confession note from her aunt Lilly, and asked him to confirm if Lilly was crazy. Inspite of himself, Adam lied to Dylan and confirmed Lilly was indeed crazy. Leaving us wondering why he would cover for Katherine still, after he's left her.
My oh my! What about Susan and Mike?
Mike's addiction withdrawals lands him and Susan well out of harms reach of the tornado, while she's getting him help. Afterwards, Susan brings in a new character, her cousin Tim, (OC's Chris Carmack) who not only does her taxes, but Susan catches him doing Katherine.. My oh my! Tim claims they are old friends, he had a fling with Katherine years ago, infact Katherine took his virginity when he was 16.
Tim, how has a tendency to chase young girls and seems interested when he meets Katherine's daughter Dylan in Susan's kitchen, who announces she's almost 18, which makes Susan choke.
Time later reveals to Susan, the last time he saw Katherine, was through the window of Katherine's house, on Wisteria Lane, while she was whacking some guy on the head with a candle stick.. He suspected it was her ex-husband. It was many years ago. To further thicken the broth in Susan's cook pot, Katherine pretended not to know Tim when she met him earlier in Susan's kitchen, around the time Dylan announced she is turning 18? The thought that Tim had a romp with Katherine around the time Dylan was conceived, sets Susan on Katherine's trail of discovering her dirty secrets.
"God smoked him, so it must be all right." Referring to Victor of course.
Gaby plans to surprise Carlos with a wedding in two weeks, delivered to his hospital room. When she goes to the Priest, the Priest is concerned that Gaby just got married, and buried her husband, and now she wants to rush into another marriage. Gaby assures the Priest that her marriage to Victor was like having an affair, and "God smoked him, it must be all right." She also vowed to leave his religion if this marriage doesn't work out.
Edie comes around the hospital on the snoop-still avenging against Carlos.
She brings him a diamond bracelet that he bought her, offering it to help him out. When she finds out the Cartier Box is worth more then the bracelet, she bribes the nurse to find out Carlos' medical condition.
Which she discovers Carlos is not only blind, but it looks permanent.
Dashing off to Gaby, Edie wastes no time in spilling the beans to Gaby who just married Carlos. He didn't jump at remarrying her right away, but he did, after mentioning his blindness was temporary, maybe 2 or 3 months. Gaby marries Carlos anyway, but after Edie's little visit, Gaby has a blow out fight with Carlos, involving flying fruit, and she coaxes him to fumble and bang into everything, all because he stopped short of saying my blindness could be permanent. After getting it all out in the open Gaby refused to let Carlos go, she married him this time for better or for worse, (permanent blindness or not).
Lynette turns religious, and infringes on Bree's happy little Sunday outings.
To get there. Bree was the first one on Lynette's hit list when it came to discovering her religious plight in finding answers to her very heavy questions. Why are all these bad things happening to people lately, and how can that be man's fault? Bree happily takes Lynette and her family to church, all was going well, until Lynette draws attention to herself, asking those heavy questions, and adding her charming vocabulary entailing words such as dumbass.
Much to Bree's embarrassment.
Bree takes it in stride, and handles things in the Bree Hodge way. She bakes bribing scones, and attempts to convince Lynette that church is for listening, not asking questions. When the Priest and Lynette hit if off, and Lynette eager to join the weekly bible reading meetings, Bree takes a different approach. She tries to bride the Priest with blueberry scones-when the priest informs Bree that church is for questions, not just answers, Bree takes a breath, and smiles with thanks, and darts back to Lynette. Bree politely suggests Lynette switch to another more suitable religion such as gospel church or the Unitarians.
After breaking Lynette's spirit, Bree realizes the damage she's done, and visits Lynette, who explains to Bree, why she asked questions in church, she needed to know why she survived cancer and her family survived the tornado.. Lynette should have also added a gun shot wound in a corner store hostage situation to the list. Bree was sorry for not seeing the light and need of her friend.. And they made up.
Next week, on Desperate Housewives.
Orson is caught naked in Susan's Kitchen!
Old Flame ‘Rick' to Lynette opens a restaurant of his own-across the street from Tom's Pizza Shop. Will Lynette frown or hide a smile? Yep, Rick's back, but what does that mean for Lynette and Tom?
Bree and Katherine go head to head in planning the Founders Day Ball, realizing two heads might be better then one.. But it leaves the question, who is the leader? The quirky situations these two find themselves in, with the poisoning issue? And other adventures? Will it bring them to appreciate one another?
Gaby is settling in with the love of her life, Carlos, but can she handle his blindness?
