The Fight Against Globalization The most insidious movement around the globe today is not the movement against terrorism that 99.9% of us support, albeit not the way that some governments are doing this, but the secretive fight against globalization.

What is globalization? As technology has freed up the human race from former levels of slavery, drudgery, poverty, or whatever it meant to you, the world has somehow become smaller. Mass transit systems for humans together with a vast reduction in the cost of travel have resulted in huge numbers of people traveling. The travel by masses of ordinary people has given us all a better understanding of other people around the world.

We have tended to ignore the words of our political leaders who would often have us reject the ways of our national neibours. We can now see the truth for ourselves.

Most families have relatives in other countries as people increasingly sought more opportunity in the countries with promise.

The formation of the European Union has been lauded by the political leaders there. The breaking down of all barriers within the Union has been dramatic. The result has been a wearing down of national boundaries and a reduction in parochialism – globalization. Oddly, they have reacted the reverse way by protecting their new boundaries to guard against the encroachment of globalism upon what they perceive as their territory.

The spread of usage of the internet has had a major effect upon globalization as internet trading, shopping, personal contacts and news items being sent around the world almost immediately brings us all together as users. There are very few secrets anymore.

Who are the opponents of globalization? Increasingly politicians are finding that globalization is eroding their power base. Local politics and regional politics now have less impact upon our lives. They often no longer have the right to impose new laws in anything except a narrow area of their responsibilities. They are often restricted as to how they can raise revenue (take our money for them to spend). That means politicians working in those areas are losing their importance and the respect of their local communities as people increasingly look to the new ‘super’ political alliances called by such names as European Union, United States, United Nations, World Trade Organization, Hague Conventions, World Bank etc. These politicians working in the local and regional levels therefore fight for their survival against the larger groupings but they no longer have the real power to affect our lives. They view globalization as an even bigger threat to them and fight it rigorously.

The politicians working in the ‘super’ political alliances have had to become power hungry to get elected or appointed to the position. This power hungry nature now manifests itself when they seek to impose their own particular brand of ‘solutions’ to everyone coming under the control of their authority. They believe that they have a right to tell us what to do and how to do it. Globalization is outside of their control and a threat to their power base so they fight it.

How does globalization affect us? Globalization gives us the opportunity to choose from world-wide opportunities instead of restricting us to the local opportunities. This applies whenever we cross national boundaries to trade in products, provide services, in business generally and for investment. We can also choose our tax regimes, how we do business and how we run our lives.

Because there is no truly global authority we are able to choose a jurisdiction for our global activity that best suits our purposes.

Globalization erodes the tax base within national boundaries. A country can only tax what it controls. Try as they might they cannot control activity that is done under the flag of another country.

With globalization there is the tendency to choose a jurisdiction for our activity that promises us reduced red tape, reduced tax and some protection from the predators of the legal profession who increasingly want to sue those with assets in order to take them for their own use.

The ability to choose our jurisdiction from which we do business is a freedom that only a few countries have so far been able to take away from their citizens. We cannot choose our country of birth. We may be able to choose the country where we live. We can certainly choose the country from which we do business.

There is an attitude which is spreading like a disease. Some people want to take away your rights. For example, in most countries you have the right to organize your affairs in whatever way you choose in order to pay the least amount of tax that is legally due. Some people want to take away your hard earned income and your family assets, out of pure jealousy. But those same people will not work as hard as you have to get the income, or build the assets.

How do they fight globalization? Governing bodies pass ever increasing amounts of legislation in an attempt stop you joining the global economy in order to protect their own power base. Here are a few examples:

A) Many countries prevent their own citizens from transferring money overseas in order to start a global business overseas, or invest overseas.

B) Many countries will no longer allow banks in their country to open bank accounts for companies which are registered elsewhere.

C) Companies such as PayPal are forced to base their business in each country so that residents of that country can be compelled to have their account there and be subject to the laws of that country.

D) Investment in some businesses is confined to the residents of the country where the business is based.

E) Often entrepreneurs are not permitted to offer opportunities to residents of other countries.

F) Some countries will penalize overseas investors through additional taxation while other countries will offer incentives.

G) The EU and OECD want to impose the same tax rules in every country regardless of the local circumstances clearly to the detriment of many countries. The exception to this is some countries (members of OECD), which want different standards for some of their states. But they still claim to support “tax harmonization".

H) All these ‘super’ political bodies try to impose their rules on the whole world even though they represent just the big countries (is that bullying?)

I) Countries increasingly introduce red tape that effectively blocks imports. J) Countries try to impose Free Trade rules on others while trying to evade the same rules for their own products.

K) Officials will make generalized false allegations of money laundering against smaller countries and place them on “black lists" until the small country is forced to submit to the demands of the officials. In fact the real money laundering is done in London and New York.

L) Other officials will talk about “tax havens" in an attempt to discredit certain countries with different rules even though every country raises tax – but in different ways to pay its Prime Minister, Police, Military etc.

M) Everywhere those countries that do not belong to the same major clubs are victimized and bullied.

N) Most countries demand openness in everything until it comes to their own National Interest. O) The internet was supposed to be without national boundaries but now there is a move to make all business transacted through a server located in a particular country subject to the laws of that country instead of the laws of the country where the business is managed from.

P) Some political leaders will lie in order to get their way and when their dishonesty is exposed will just ignore the contrary view. They use this tactics to fight globalization also.

While there are many more ways in which globalization is being fought by the bigger countries this is not intended to list them all. The point is well proven with the above.

How do you regain your freedom and join the global economy? You can, but I am not going to broadcast it here because that would simply lead to more retribution and persecution. I can tell you privately when I know who you are and where you stand! In the meantime you may care to look at the website of the PT Club which has a great deal of information – but certainly not all of it correct. At least it is a start.
