There is no situation, no person, no animal, that can compare with the Glory and strength of God. When we have problems we cannot overcome, and pray over, God will take care of us, even if it's not in the way we had hoped. As long as we remember that God knows best, not us, we can accept so much more as we travel through our lives. This concept of Faith can push us through and bring us peace.

Butwe must truly believe. Pretending to have Faith in God's infinite wisdom is not enough. When we pretend, we really don't understand Faith, confidence, or trust. Unfortunately, we sometimes put our Faith in material items, or other people, and we are let down and left to pick up the pieces.

Even if what we are praying for, doesn't come true, if we really believe, then we know that it was just that this particular thing, or person, was not in our best interest. From our mindset on Earth, we may think they're great. We may pray for the GTO, or the girl with the red hair. If we receive neither, is it possible that God knows that we'd be killed in the GTO, and the little red headed girl would be paralyzed for life? It's not only possible, but probable, and it's a good philosophy to base your life on. Trust in God's decisions.

Say you are going on an interview to a job you want more than anything, and you have all the credentials, and the personality, and you want all that money. You dream of what you could do with that money. Buy a new car, a new apartment, new furniture, new clothes.

However, you don't get the job. You tie one on that night and go back to your old job. You are depressed. One of your friends that works at the new company, informs you that right where your office was, the ceiling caved in and completely crushed the desk, and everything in the room. Chills run up your spine, and you instinctively look to the Heavens, and say, "Thank you God."

So many instances of near fatal accidents happen, when people know if they hadn't gone back for their keys, or stopped to bring the garbage down, they would be right where the accident is that they drive up upon. My friend's son worked in the world trade center. He lives with room mates, and somehow, his door got locked to his room. He couldn't get in to get his clothes, so he stayed home that day. He didn't even know what had happened until his mom called him.

This all wraps around Faith, and the fact that we have it, we believe in it, and we stay in communication with God through our Faith. it's like an electrical pull. Our kids might have their hearts set on going to a particular concert, but they can't get tickets. They are upset, and this band doesn't come around often. The next day in the paper, you read that the bleachers collapsed at the stadium, 20 were killed, and hundreds hurt. These things shouldn't go unnoticed as they happen to us. We are being Blessed for some reason, and it's up to us to figure that out.

Hell produces inconsiderate, selfish, evil, sick, vain, mean and angry people. But they are no match for those who believe in God, and do His will to the best of their ability. God is love and kindness, care, and compassion. Of course He wants His children to act the same. Do you think there will be any rewards in Heaven for Hell on Earth? I believe we even have a choice to get out of Hell, if we learn, repent, and ask God to allow us into His kingdom. But many moons will go by in Hell until we learn.

We all know people we think should go straight to Hell, no passing Heaven, just straight into the dark abyss. If their actions are so mean and harmful on Earth, there's no doubt they won't be going to Heaven first. God's strength can overcome all obstacles, all barriers, and even send the good to Hell, and the bad to Heaven, if He wants. Hell is nothing to Him. He is the Almighty, the King, the Salvation. No force can touch Him, penetrate Him, kill Him off or make Him go away. Oh, we can break away from Him, but He'll never break away from us, His children.

Just as you wouldn't give your two year old a serrated knife, God tries to protect us from harm, but just as the baby reaches the knife and gets cut, we will give in to things and people who are not good for us, and will bring us harm. When we listen to our conscience and eliminate the negative forces in our lives, a veil is lifted, and happiness and trust and hope and prosperity are once again, part of our lives. God works with us. Yes, things may happen to us in our lives that aren't pleasant, and we may have to leave this Earth earlier than we intended, or suffer for many years, but Faith is believing that once in Heaven, we will be whole and at peace. God's strength will envelop us and fill us with the Light and love we've always waited for. We will know peace, and we won't have to worry about the bad people anymore. Hell hath no fury compared to God's Strength.

Susan Thom is the mother of three children, two sons, 17 and 21, and a daughter 22. Writing calms her, and gives her a place to go. By herself! Clears the head and gets it out. She lives in a rural area, with a lake and mountains, her son and her partner, and has loved writing since she was a child.

She certainly hopes you enjoy her take on life, and her style of communicating that in stories.

She has been on a journey of self discovery for twenty years, and has learned many things about the human mind, and how to maintain some semblance of calm and peace within.

If someone reads one of her stories, and relates to her feelings, and maybe gets a suggestion on how she dealt with them in a positive way, that would be the ultimate gift of her writing.
