Authentic UGGs vs. Fake UGGs: How to spot them

Fake UGGs Characteristics:

Fur is caught in all stitching

Fur excessively comes out of the boot

Fur is not white but darker

Quick Test: You cannot comb the fake fur

Fakes have a one pc. Box

The Stitching thread color is darker than boot material

Sole of boot is lighter than suede

Stitching on back of boot is jagged and not straight

Stitching on front of boot is not curved perfectly but wavy

Sole of Boots have a straight line

Should have V shape groves through whole sole

Lack ® symbols on sole of boot

However newer fakes do have this perfected now

UGG Label on back of the boot is not silk

UGG Booklets have fuzzy images; very low resolution

UGG Booklets have the word "World" capitalized on the first page.

UGG Booklets cover is not embossed

*meaning if you touch the cover the UGG Australia Logo is smooth *

UGG Congratulations Card is Gray

UGG Box is Blue

Hanging Tag on the Boot

Dust Cover

Separate cloth bags that you're supposed to store your boots in

Inside tags: the Right Boot has the Inside Tag on the Right

The Left Boot has the Inside Tag on the Left

Reek of Dye: Does not disappear for a while

Authentic UGGs Characteristics:

Some fur does come out the boot: but not excessively

Boxes of UGG's sized 6 and up coming in two

Boxes of UGG's sized 5 and below come in one pc box.

Stitching on back of boots is straight lined

Stitching Thread is Lighter than material

Darker Chestnut, Chocolate Colors

Darker Soles with V grooves.

White Fur

UGG Label on Heal of Boot is Silk and Stitching makes the Label Color

UGG Booklets have high resolution pictures

UGG Congratulations Card is Manila

They smell of dye, but should disappear after first couple of wears.

what color should the ugg label b on the back of a real classic tall black ugg

It should be black, but could be white.  If it is tan or brown, then it is fake...

IDK if mine are fake b/c some of the things listed above are correct with my boots and some are not.
