Have you always dreamed of having that over-the-top kitsch wedding? I don't mean the kind with the ten bridesmaids and the two-foot tall, pink, whipped wedding cake and big honkin' square pieces of wooden-flooring stapled to the grass in desperate attempts to make a dance floor- I mean the old-fashioned country-girl-in you-kind-of-wedding-where you yearn to feel brazen and pure and sexy and classic and all dolled-up in that divinely sleek and sultry white wedding dress. Well, do I have just the honeymoon planned for you!

How Cuckoo Are You For Elvis Presley?Do you find Elvis and Priscilla one of the most romantic couples in American pop history? Don't feel silly, you are not alone! Even 31 years after The King's death on August 16, 1977, there are still thousands of men and women (just like you) around the world who share in your blameless enthusiasm for their idealistic and iconic love. I, too, swoon with the mere thought of The King's charisma, hunk-a-lishous good-looks, sublime stage presence, pioneering talent, sultry voice, and innocent boyish charm. Nothing and No One is sexier than Elvis Presley: obsidian slicked back hair, strapping figure with finesse and form to fit any suit, and we can't forget his classic white suede shoes. Ahhh, E lvis he who transcends timeWait- Are you kidding me? You are! Well, why didn't you tell me? Get on over here and give me a hug. Now take a step back and let me take in the two of you. You're absolutely gorgeous together-congratulations on your engagement.

Now, pay close attention-here is your Travel Itinerary-and, DO NOT LOSE IT because it will guide you to the most romantic honeymoon vacation you have ever dreamt about.

First Things First: I am not your Travel Agent. The first thing you will want to do is find a booking agent that you like and trust and have them book a two-week honeymoon trip though the south: Nashville , Tennessee to Tupelo to Mississippi to Memphis , Tennessee to Tampa Bay , Florida . All of your plane fairs, entertainment and ticket purchases and hotel stays, should be confirmed and guaranteed before your travel exit.

  • Then, once the reservations are madepack up your fianc' (beau or sweetheart) and take a romantic road-trip through the tropical moss-tree humid south. Simply toss that 5,000 dollar savings you had tucked away for that clich, boring over-rated-wedding and buy a round-trip plane ticket to Nashville exiting from Tampa Airport , returning home.
  • Once in Nashville, attend the concert and show at the downtown Ryman Auditorium (home of the Grand Ole Opry)-and, when you book your hotel make sure it is in walking distance to all the local pubs, museums, and restaurants.
  • Pull up your cowboy boots, sexy cowgirl hat, and fasten on your favorite studded rhinestone pink cowboy belt and go visit the Country Western Hall of Fame Museum.
  • Tour the rich historic honky-tonk neighborhood visiting Johnny Cash and Pasty Cline's favorite local haunts as well as the saloons they lounged at before and after they performed at the Grand Ole Opry.
  • I would stick to downtown Nashville . The suburban plazas, colossal Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall are not AT ALL what they are cracked up to be.
  • Once you have toured Nashville , go pick up that swank convertible you rented across town and head to Tupelo , Mississippi , Elvis's birth place and honorary homestead landmark; to christen in your wedding vows at the Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel!
  • Slip on that glorious wedding dress, slide on those red saucy high heels, and pull up your hair. Tell that love of yours how much you will love and adore them for All Time and well into the Ever After, and - prepare your escape - to Memphis , Tennessee ! Home of Elvis Presley's Graceland home.
  • In an hour and half (100 miles) you will reach Elvis Presley's Heart Break Hotel. Spend the night there, and romantically, toast in your hopelessly "Love Me Tender" nuptials, drinking cocktails and exchanging dreamy kisses well into the early dawn.
  • The following morning, tour Elvis Presley's Graceland ! And marvel in awe at his pool-side museum and award-encased Hall of fame home: decorated with tiger displays, antique rock n' roll guitars and polished pianos, carpet lined-walls, a built-in barroom, racket ball room, award-museum, and marvelous horse ranch acres.
  • Then Stop and Honor The King. He, his twin brother Aaron, and his parents are all laid to rest in Graceland 's backyard mortuary outside temple. And, don't be afraid to light a candle in honor of his memory.
  • Finally, purchase some Elvis Presley memorabilia, enjoy an early lunch at Elvis's Diner, and quickly get back on the road and take in the scenery, all the way to Tampa Bay Florida , for a week-long beach side honeymoon vacation.
  • Here, what's to say: enjoy the white sand beaches, tropical sunshine, and pool side relaxation with your lovely bride or groom. Furthermore, I would like to wish you and your new spouse light and joy and a prosperous union from this day forward. And, I hope I have been a helpful guide in creating a momentus occasion in celebrating your love.
