There are different types of juice machines out there in the market that you can use when you are going through a juice fast. It ranges from affordable to high tech power juicers. First you would need to understand their functions well before deciding to purchase the juicers.

Below are the various types of juicer that you can consider. Some are expensive but worth it while others may not be to your likings.

One of the most popular brands is the Omega Juicers. It offers four different styles of juice machines including centrifuge, masticating, citrus juicer, and pulp ejector.

Centrifuge juicers are the most common type of juicer. It works by having a centrifugal force which extracts juice from the pulp when fruits and vegetables are placed into the machine. Most of the fruits and vegetables work well with Centrifuge juicers except for wheatgrass and leafy greens.

Masticating juicers are referred to as single gear juicers. These machines are designed to literally chew the fibers of fruits and vegetables to release the enzymes, vitamins and minerals into the juice. Masticating juicers work well for all fruits and vegetables, including wheatgrass and leafy greens.

Some masticating juicers have two gears in their machines which are referred to as twin gear juicers. With twin gear juicers, you can extract the juice out from the fruits and vegetables more efficiently and hence they are the most expensive type of juicer. If you are considering about juicing or juice fasting on a regular basis, a twin gear masticating juicer is a great investment. Otherwise, sticking to a single gear masticating or centrifuge machine is sufficient.

A citrus juicer, as the name suggested, is used to extract the juices from citrus fruits. It resembles one of the traditional citrus juicers where you manually extract the juices. It has a bowl and a round device in the center. All you need is to cut the fruits into half and place it on the round device and push it a few times, and the juice will be extracted.

Nowadays, citrus fruit juices allow you to juice nearly any fruit imaginable. Most citrus fruit juicers on the market are powered by electricity and after peeling the skin, you can juice the entire fruit. Comparing to a manual citrus juicer, they provide a creamy, frothy, foamy juice which is higher in nutrients. Most of them have a price range from $9.99 to $549.99.

When looking for a juice machines, it would be ideal to research via the Internet to determine which machine is best for you. You can often find bargains online and can purchase the juice machines at a lower price. Oftentimes, you can find refurbished juice machines at your local health food store or via the Internet or auction sites such as Ebay. As a rule of thumb, before investing in any juice machine, think about how often you will be using the machine, what types of fruits and vegetables you will be juicing, and whether it is worth it to purchase at that price.
