Let's take a look in the fashion industry: for starters, models are skinny. Very, very skinny. Some of them are, yes, painfully thin. Why? This question has been asked so many times, but the apparent answer is, basically, that clothes seem to look better on skinny women, at least fashion-wise. Or so the fashion experts say. As a result, the majority of the models out there rocking the runways are either size 2 or size 0, and yes, their heights excel as well.

So, as long as we are used to seeing skinny models and nothing else but skinny models on the high fashion scene, then we can assume that the wannabe fashionistas want to present themselves, to look and to feel like the runway models, since they are the epitome of couture. Some of the greatest fashion icons are or have been pin thin. Think of Twiggy or Kate Moss for example - certain bohemian style, combined with super thin legs, an effortless, yet studied attitude and you are a walking fashion statement.

But that's not all. Let's face it: skinny girls can wear pretty much anything and look great. No dumps, no rolls, no worries and the freedom to choose and wear whatever they like. And considering that skinny girls have a wide range of fashionable pieces to choose from, no wonder they develop a taste for fashion and, therefore, they easily become true fashionistas.
