The Messe Frankfurt venue was first opened in 1949 and today boasts of being the biggest trade fair organiser in the world. This organisation has its own exhibition grounds, called the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre and the Centre is an extremely popular venue for all kinds of exhibitions and trade shows. In 2007 alone, more than sixty thousand different exhibitors and almost four million visitors attended events at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre.

Over the years, Messe Frankfurt has built up an excellent reputation as an outstanding venue and the Messe Frankfurt corporate group now schedules more than 100 trade fairs annually. The Messe Frankfurt GmbH Exhibition Centre is centrally located and is easily accessible by car, rail and bus. The transport is extremely well organised in this city and this helps people gain easy access to the exhibition centre. The venue is just 15 kilometres from the airport and traffic is not normally a problem. If you are looking to reach the centre by road, the A5 interstate by way of the Westkreuz Frankfurt interchange will take you there. If you wish to get to the Messe Frankfurt GmbH Exhibition Centre by train, then you must take the subway from the Frankfurt Central Station.

Once you get to the Centre you will find that it is extremely spacious and quite impressive in size. The centre is the third largest exhibition complex in the world and is equipped with 578,000 square meters of space, which can be further broken up into 321,700 square meters of exhibition halls and 83,000 square meters of outdoor space. The venue also has a number of multipurpose halls and the exhibition centre is also equipped with a Cargo Centre. This is a logistics centre with about 5,500 square meters of floor space, about 1,200 square meters of office space and approximately 500 square meters for utilities and technical equipment.

The Messe Frankfurt GmbH Exhibition Centre also offers visitors a chance to use its business centre, multimedia shop, catering services and travel centre. There are many services on offer which include translation services, event engineering, electrical services, florists, hostesses, IT service, artist services, furniture supply, delivery services, stall construction, ticketing, locksmith services, catalogue services, technical coordination and many more.

Some of the popular exhibitions coming up this year at Messe Frankfurt Centre are the Marketing Services Exhibition, the Facility Management Show, Tendence Lifestyle and Collectione. Frankfurt in its own right is an excellent city and worth visiting if you also get the chance.
