It is well known that green tea helps to lose weight. A lesser known tea for weight loss is Oolong tea. Not many people know about it, but Oolong tea does help you lose weight, just the way green tea does. There are four benefits of using Oolong tea for weight loss:
1. Great taste: Oolong tea is made from the Camellia sinensis plant, which is widely known for its appealing aroma. Now instead of having to choke down bitter pills and medicines, you finally can have a tasty weight loss supplement. You probably won't even remember that you are drinking Oolong tea for the purpose of losing weight.
2. Cures several diseases: If you thought that Oolong tea will only help you lose weight, you cannot be further from the truth. There is more to Oolong tea. It has been said to have the power to cure you of such conditions as cardiovascular disease, allergies and eczema.
It also is said to help in lowering your cholesterol level and keep your heart and kidneys in good health. Apart from that, it may also help in strengthening teeth and bones. As you can see, there are several reasons why you should start drinking Oolong tea.
3. More effective than green tea: Although many people advocate green tea as a good way to lose weight, Oolong actually has more of the active ingredients that do this. You can consider Oolong tea a proven herbal medicine for weight loss.
4. Acts as an appetite suppressant: If you need to get rid of hunger pangs, then Oolong tea can help with that, as well. Another little known fact about Oolong tea is that it helps to suppress appetite.
Make sure to drink Oolong tea regularly in order to lose weight. If you aren't in the habit of drinking tea, don't worry - Oolong tea is available in the both liquid and capsule form.
