Spiritual Ethics in Today's World --- Law of Attraction & Politics
The Time for Action and Intention is NOW!
"Fear and apathy are the two greatest bars to truth and forward action." Robbi Dyer
How can the Law of Attraction be applied to the current political environment that exists in the or elsewhere? When we remember that nothing and no one is exempt from the laws that run this universe, we will stop feeling helpless and victimized. When we realize that when an apple is disconnected from its fastened point to the limb of an apple tree, the apple will fall to the ground because of the law of gravity, we will realize that no individual, no group, no nation is without accountability for its actions and reactions in this universe where we all share life.
Where do we place our focus? We place our focus on what we want to happen, on who we want in leadership positions and on our own thoughts and actions in the present moment. We concentrate on who we believe will fulfill out expectations, not on the opposition. Eckhart Tolle presents the natural laws of existence well in his new book, "A New Earth". In it he states that "what we resist, we draw to us". In essence, if we concentrate on what we do not want, we will draw that into existence, rather than the opposite. The key to winning at politics is nonresistance, focus and holding thought-forms that will yield leaders with the same sense of positive accountability and strength as you are willing to hold the intention for.
When you go to the library to find some good escape literature to read during leisure hours, you are immediately hit with volumes and volumes of books all trying to attract your attention. Every two years, you are bombarded through as many stimuli as the media can thrust on the airways as possible. Candidates crawl out of the woodwork and begin trying to catch your attention and gain your vote. Over the years I have observed, with interest, that during political campaigns of any kind, groups of people often engage in conversation about the various candidates. What I have observed during these periods is that mostly I would hear about which candidate or candidates or party people did not like or did not want to come to power. I would hear criticism, sometimes angry or heated words and nearly always complaints and charges against whomever they did not want and whatever policies they did not want to see executed. Rarely, did I hear positive conversations about good candidates with common sense goals and workable and beneficial strategies for leadership and national (or local) direction.
Wasted energy is not uncommon. We are all guilty of wasting energy and time and action and even our thoughts. Wasted energy serves no purpose and accomplishes little if anything. Wasted energy travels in the direction of our thoughts and actions and often aids what we do not want or what we do not want to happen. By changing our attitudes and our energy strategy, we can actually help the candidates we want in office and the policies we want to see enacted by our government. By focusing on what we do want, we can make a difference. By focusing on the positive, we do not add energy to the negative. We've all heard the evidence. When you think a thought or envision an image, that activity produces energy. Like-energy travels into the Universe and finds like-energy. That like-energy returns into our world producing the quality of events that the initial thought implied. Free will or free agency is our right to make choices. Making choices that favor what we want is far better in end result than the opposite. With so many challenges, both natural and human-caused facing the world today, it is more important than ever that we act and think from a place of spiritual ethics. The coming General Election in the is giving us a chance to practice the metaphysical principals we know to be true and real. Make a commitment to spiritual ethics when you exercise your right to vote this November. Make your vote count and make your thoughts, actions and intentions positive and constructive. The Universe is life affirming. We must be too.
Blessings all, Robbi
