Eyebrow fashions change frequently, from full to pencil thin depending on what fashion world wants to show them as. The most sensible option is to stick to the natural but well-care for look as their shape and expressions that harmonizes with your face.
It's always recommended that the shape of your eyebrows work with your face not against it. The last thing you want is to look surprised all the time. Over plucked eyebrows will give you that look so be careful. That look as been gone since the 50's, there is no need to bring it back.

If you dye your hair on a regular basic ask your hair stylist about doing your eyebrows at the same time.

All you really need are these simple tools, tweezers, eyebrow pencil and a clean mascara wand. If you are blond, you may find there is a problem finding a eyebrow pencil that matches closely to your color eyebrows, you may find that using eye shadow works better for you.
After you have had your eyebrows professional shaped there are a few things you can do to maintain them and make they show off your beautiful eyes.
If necessary, pluck away any loose straggly hairs with your tweezers. If you feel pain place a ice cube on the spot to ease it. Also do not do any real plucking the day of any major event. So redness may happen and it doesn't cover up easily. It's better to do it the night before. Always pluck only under the eyebrow not above and pull the hairs in the direction they are growing. Also pluck with a swift, sharp movement. Remember to only pluck a hair or two at a time. That way you have better control over their shaping.
Once you are done with any plucking you may needed to do, brush your eyebrows into shape with a brow brush.
Work upward and outward to give the eyebrow more definition and it helps open up the whole eye area.
Using a eyebrow pencil use light feathery strokes to fill in any gaps you may have in your eyebrows. The idea is you don't want to see that you may of added color just definition. Extend the eyebrows very slightly at the outer corner and accentuate the natural arch of your brows. If you don't have a natural arch, don't be sad that's just how it might be. Ask your professional if its possible to create one, if not don't try.
For a softer more natural look, you can use eye shadow instead of a pencil. Again if you are blond this is the best product to use.
Apply using a small pointed brush and brush it through. To keep individual hairs in place you can spray a little hair spray onto a old clean mascara wand and comb it through your eyebrows. There are clear gels on the market now that work just as well.

Caring for your eyebrows is easy once you have gotten the prefect shape for your face and eyes. If you have over-plucked in the past, the only way you will be able to achieve prefect eyebrows is to leave them alone and let them grow back out. There are products on the market that will help grow your eyebrows back, so look into that as well if you have problems with them growing back due to over-plucking them.
