"Consider, when you are enraged at any one, what you would probably think if he should die during the dispute." Lucius Annaeus Seneca
You find yourself driving frantically around in a municipal parking garage late for work or an important appointment and you notice there aren't any empty spaces available? The minutes keep tick-tocking right on by and you are still unable to locate any type of adequate parking space for yourself.
After driving about the parkade for a length of time you notice that one driver has purposefully angle parked into two spaces. How do you feel when you spot somebody with an expensve car or truck who has purposely taken two spaces so that nobody can park next to their car? The offending vehicle is in mint condition and it appears somewhat obvious to you that the driver took the time to angle park his/her car to fill the two spaces.
That would be a pretty infuriating situation to be caught up in. Is there any easy answer to remedy this situation? Imagine how you would feel if the following note (supposedly left by an irate driver) was left on your windshield after you were guilty of angle parking.
Dear anonymous driver,
'Im sorry I put a dent in your car. I didn't want to, but I did when I tried to park next to you. I am not leaving my information because you chose to use two spaces and I just wanted to park in one. The scratches happened because I used a towel that had sand on it when I tried to clean the dent/paint off. Beaches are fun. Please look your car over for the dent and scratches and each time you see them, remember not to park in two spaces. Sorry!!! A fellow driver.
The following quote sums things up somewhat adequately and completely:

Hi Gerry,
it infuriates me to see a car in 2 spaces, however, it also infuriates me that people are so careless with their carts or opening and closing their doors, that one feels the need to park like that. i've never parked in 2 spots, but i have had knicks and dings from parking in lots.
thanks for sharing,
best regards,

Hello Sue
Thanks for your comments.
It is truly infuriating to find nicks and dents and scratches on your vehicle when you park in lots or parkades. Many drivers do not think of their fellow drivers when they swing open their car doors and are totally unaware of the damages they have caused. These are possibly the same drivers who cruise down the road of life with thei radio music blarring while they change lanes many times without signalling.
I wonder if cars should once more have rubberized factory installed running boards on the outside to protect the vehicles from damage? Drivers should also be forced to have protective mud flaps on their vehicles to minimize rock damage to windshields.

Hi David
Thanks for your comment.
Many drivers try to protect their vehicles by angle parking and using two maybe three parking spaces. The super extended box truck drivers are notorious for this action. One Saturday at a mall there were three such vehicles hogging nine parking spaces. Outrageous.

When one comes across this or any other type of incident that portrays the negative character of an individual we must in all instances pray for them and show mercy. They evidently have a problem which they demonstrae by nature of their deeds and which they care to ignore, or are not aware of. It is best to walk away, since one accumes their attitude if one responds. Is it not sad that in my opinion this is more the norm. Best Wishes and peace. Respond to this comment
