I have had a tough week. It was only by the grace of God that I was able to survive it. Monday and Tuesday were not bad at all, but it all started on Wednesday.

It was a sheer miracle that I did not take it out on my co-workers. I never had a minute to slow down and I barely had time to eat. Actually, I had to make myself take the full hour just to let my brain cool down. I tell you, it was in overdrive all week.

I love my job, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, you just get those weeks when you just want to go home and curl up in bed and stay there for the rest of the week. That is what I felt like doing.

The minute I walked out of work on Wednesday evening, my brain decided to shut off. Another miracle was that I got home without an accident. I did not even remember how I got home…it must have been the Holy Spirit driving that car, because I wasn't paying any attention at all.

Have you ever had days or weeks like that? When you feel so overwhelmed that you could not see straight? Maybe you are a working single mother or father struggling to make ends meet or you may have a huge family to support and you know you need to make that extra income to put braces on one of the kid's teeth.

Whatever you are going through. However you feel…always remember that God is there with you. He is there in the storm with you and He is there in the good times too.

Sometimes, we have to stop and remind ourselves that He is there. We can get so busy running our lives that we completely forget that He is there. But He is there with you in every moment of your life.

God helped give me strength when I needed it to move forward with my work. In the past, i would not be motivated to get it done because I did not allow God to rule over that area of my life. Well…He does now.

You can even pray to Jesus when you are in the middle of a stressful situation. At work, in the car, trying to get your baby to be calm (i.e. to stop screaming his head off), etc. If you cannot pray out loud where you are, then pray silently. God knows your heart. Choose to live according to His will in that situation and He will figure out the best scenario to finish it in the best possible way.

But the choice is yours to seek Him out…if you don't do that, your situation will not get better, but only worse. I know…because this has happened to me many times, until I surrendered and I stopped trying to do things my way.

Jennifer Johnson is a Christian who wants to bring truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ to the world, to expose the wiles of the enemy, to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to stand on the firm foundation of God’s Word. She is a counselor of sorts as she is not a doctor and does not have a degree but she is one who wants to offer herself, based upon God’s Word and her painful experiences, to those in need of spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial healing.
