Many atheists delight in accusing theists of following superstitions with blind faith in a non- existent god. I acknowledge that there are such, and many millions of them. But not all theists are following superstitions or non-existent gods. And faith in Jehovah God is far from being blind. The atheist takes offense at our referring to two scriptures in the Holy Bible which say: " The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" (Psalm 14:1, 53:1) The word "fool" here is from the Hebrew "nabal, or nabhal" which means "an empty fellow", "contemptible person", "a villain". One who has a muddy head and unclean heart. (Adam Clarke Commentary on the Whole Bible. [Clarke, an 18 th century Methodist theologian and scholar whose massive work continues to be one of the most sought and used]). I have never referred to atheists as fools, personally, though I do agree that their stand is foolish and blind which probably is the equivalent. They have no right to take offense at Christians who use that terminology since they readily refer to us in the same way.
Let's try and fairly compare these opposite points of view. An atheist is one who states that there is no god. How can he possibly know that? He cannot, if so, then he must be so thoroughly full of knowledge that he knows every thing there is to be known. If not, then he cannot rule out the possibility of there being an Almighty God. If he, indeed, does know everything there is to know, then he is God. However, if he hedges and says that he does not know whether or not there is a god, he is not an atheist, he is an agnostic. So his stand is based on blind faith in something, himself, or whatever is his pleasure to try and determine but not evidence.
The atheist cannot stand alone. He has no answers. He simply adamantly states that there is no god. His assumptions of origins are total foolishness. There are no facts to prove his stand on the origin of (1) matter. (2) the universe. (3) life. (4) simple cells. (5) man's ability to reason.
In fact, he has no evidence or facts to prove the origin of any basics. Their best assertion is that all things just happened to be here and when they die, they are just dead. The exact assumption which might be given you if you asked a pre-schooler.
His lack of viable answers place him in a pitiable position. His efforts to appear of high intelligence is thwarted by his inability to show any empirical evidence for his stands. And it angers him if you question his blind faith. And he, as he accuses Christians, closes his mind when an effort is made to show the opposite to his stand...the evidence for Jehovah God and His infallible word.
About the only thing in which both atheists and theists almost agree upon is that there are but two possible theories at present as to how this universe came into being. The dissolution of one or the other should be proof positive that the remaining one is accurate and true. Every theory of atheistic naturalism has been proven to be unrealistic and is proven false by established natural laws of physics. While no evidence to the contrary has been discovered.
Evidence abounds that the existence of this universe and all that is in it is a result of an intelligent planner and creator. The atheist immediately will say that everything that exists and/or happens is the result of natural laws, even though he hedges when one of those natural laws stops a theory dead in it's tracks. So let him explain how and why these "natural laws" are themselves extant. How did they get in place? Intelligent design or simply happenstance? Enter blind faith. Even though the atheist has no answers, he is positive that the answers will be forthcoming in time. Actually time and accumulated knowledge has worked devastatingly against the atheist. Scientific discoveries over the past few decades have proven just how foolish their hypotheses have been. During the 1950's, when researchers Francis Crick and James Watkins discovered the makeup of DNA as a double helix, the scientific community was elated with the thought that now they would be able to find proofs of evolutionary processes. However, the extreme complexity and precise functioning of this molecular marvel has tended to cast even more doubt upon macroevolution.
Unlike the discoveries and studies which have undermined the approach of naturalism, the more discoveries that are made, the stronger the evidence becomes for intelligent design. Also unlike the atheist stand on origins which leave each point with an unanswered question, the theory of an intelligent designer and creator with infinite intelligence and power to circumvent natural laws, answers every question which has arisen. We have to acknowledge only one thing, that we cannot comprehend or understand such a being, but the evidence is overwhelming that He does exist. Within the past few centuries, the various laws of physics have been been discovered. Yet, a book exists whose sections were written from 3500 years ago to approximately 1900 years ago, which explains an omnipotent, omniscient spirit being with the power to create those natural laws as well as override them.
To think that writers living over 3000 years ago could dream up a superstition answering all of those unanswered questions, and remain viable after centuries of scrutiny and criticism, is sheer folly. Even our PhD's of today cannot write a paper that will withstand such critical appraisal. Such a massive book of extreme details which has undergone efforts to discredit, destroy, obliterate for centuries and not one tiny factor can be proven to be in error. Oh, there are many points which the atheists claim are untrue, errors, etc. However, to prove anything to be false, one must show that there is no possible way that it can be accepted as true. This is not a cop out. Many things written in the Bible are prophetic and in figurative language. Many are symbolic and many are written as types and anti-types which take in-depth study to get the true meaning. But with all of this, to have such a massive book where not one item can be shown without doubt to be error, should be adequate proof of it's reliability.
The Old Testament alone contains over 300 prophecies of the coming messiah. Jesus Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection fulfilled with detailed accuracy, every one of those. Statisticians have estimated that it would have been impossible for any person to fake as many as 8 of those prophecies without discovery. The book of Daniel, written some 570 B.C. foretold the coming of kingdoms which would control the fallen nation of Israel all the way to the Roman empire and told of the coming of the kingdom of Christ (His church) during the Roman control of that nation.
The Book is filled with accurate prophecies fulfilled to the letter. It contains many geographical and historical events and descriptions, all exactly accurate. Everyone has to make their own decision as to which of these theories are true. But it behooves all to make a wise decision, since the stakes are very high. If one is willing to weigh the evidence, there is little room for error.

I rest my case, Thomas. You wouldn't believe it if I did show Him to you. You have no clue how you got here nor why. But, you will be privileged to see Him...in less than a hundred years. Thank you for reading and writing the comment. May God help you to see the evidence that abounds, while there is still time and opportunity.
