Known all over the world for its daring approach to culture and the arts and its fierce passion for sports Chicago is a national hub for business and industry. To add to Chicago's impressive accomplishments, she is now an applicant for the 2016 Summer Olympic games. Gasoline as usually is on the rise from $2.65 a gallon last year up to over $4.00 a gallon and counting this year. Gasonline taxes is currently 32.5 cents a gallon and 43.5 cents a gallon for diesel. State sales taxes start at 6.25% and end at 8.5% depending on what county you live in. Income tax is only 3%. Chicago Apartments - The average studio apartment rental ranges from $600-$1200, rent for a one bedroom is $750 to $2000 and a two bedroom ranges from $950 to $2500.
