The Arm of the Lord reached down to Earth,
scooping up dust giving man birth.
With skillful design and very much thought,
the hands of the Godhead gave man a heart.
That heart was glowing filled with God's light.
The man with God truly communed.
Transparent before Him there's no hidden rooms.
However, beguiled was the wife of man,
deceived by the serpent he ate from her hand.
Transgression set in like a cold dark grave,
the heart that was given now chained as a slave.
No more light only darkness would reign in that heart.
The man and his God not near but apart.
Darkness now covers the heart that once glowed.
There's no warmth, only hardness, like a stone it's grown cold.
Life is gone now reigns Death,
indiscriminately taking man's life, man's breath.
The heart grew colder and harder it seemed,
dastardly deeds being done and conceived.
Desperately wicked who could know,
the depth of the evil from man's heart would flow.
Bloodshed and warfare, hate and deceit,
sorrow and treachery, what is sown would be reaped.
That heart so harden there's no love to show,
only eye for an eye, blow against blow.
Affection so limited loving to hate,
the poison of sin, how heavy the weight.
Now heaven's restricted to a chosen few,
the gateway once opened nows locked and secure.
However, His love and His mercy is right.
He will not leave man in this terrible plight.
So again, straight from heaven His Arm was revealed.
The Godhead in fullness in the flesh concealed.
The Savior from heaven in the form of a man,
assigned to bring back the heart is the plan.
What a high price was paid, oh what a cost,
the Son of David to recover what's lost.
The blood that He shed spilled on earth,
redeemed men's heart, his position--new birth.
The heart now soften no longer a stone,
The heart filled with warmth no longer cold.
Restored to its place like back from the start,
Man and his God now near not apart.
